The Prospector
Only place open in Lawrence for lunch so luckily they had a good selection and some good coffee. We had ginger and carrot soup, lamb burger and the mince on toast specials along with some cheese rolls. Service was friendly at the counter but not do much the wait staff. Received our meals but were told off because we didn’t get our own soup spoon! She came back with one for us begrudgingly!

Splendid coffee! Have been to The Prospector a number of times and have found it consistently busy in the charming town of Lawrence because of the quality of food and beverages. Such wonderful and attentive service staff/baristas, that really make this place worth a visit!

Excellent food. Blonde staff member (Lucy) lovely and friendly, brunette girl and male behind counter could do with some customer service training. Otherwise, great cafe - warm and cozy.

Tomato and lentil soup had chickpeas not lentils, tasted nice but not what I expected. Hubby had Thai pumpkin soup and enjoyed it. Basic amount for $15

We stopped in for lunch and both had the fish and chips and a drink. Good quick service and food was pretty good.Neither of us finished our chips as the serving was a bit much for us so good if you were a bigger eater than us
