What a great place to stay!! Owners are lovely and know a lot about the local area. Ask them for recommendations.The walks around have fantastic views.The beach across the road really nice.A cute friendly dog. And if you are lucky you might get home baked biscuits/cookies. Kitchens well stocked and good size. Full size oven and stove wow.Free wifi too and super clean.

Beachside Sunnyvale Motel
Our ferry was canceled so we needed a place to stay for the night. Everything else in Picton was booked out but we managed to get a room here. Colin and Tomoko are wonderful hosts and very welcoming. The room was spotlessly clean, facilities well apointed and very comfortable to stay in. I just wish we were staying longer! Waikawa Bay is an amazing place, so quiet.

Very good motel feels like a home it got couch which not many motels have these days 2 different beds in different rooms with closed door pice has Freeview Netflix and YouTube

We stayed a night after our ferry was canceled and couldn't have found a better place. After only a night, it was clear that Colin loves his work and really cares about his customers. No doubt we'll visit again!

Accomodation is a credit to Colin & Tomoko, a lovely couple who helped us due to Ferry be cancelled due to cyclone Gabrielle. They are renovating but it was cosy, clean & practical. Great position & quiet. Birdsong great. Thanks also to i-site for booking. (Lovely Waikawa Jetty in photo)

Super lovely hosts, quiet spot with an easy wander down to the water. Loved the older decor but was also great having a modern bathroom and was super appreciative of the air conditioning given the temperature in picton. Enjoyed our first night's stay there so much that we booked in another night for when we were coming back through picton.

We had super late checkin, no problems :)Clean, great location- a stroll across the road to the marina which was gorgeous at sunset, room had everything we needed. A nice no fuss place to stay and would definitely stay there again.

Brilliant place to stay. Tomoko was sooo welcoming and showed me to my room and even stored my frozen items in her own freezer. The best of kiwi hospitality and the room was immaculate and the bed... omg amazing. About 10kms from Picton centre but thats good. Very quiet and lovely marina adjacent. TIP: Turn right from their driveway and take the scenic road right round to Oyster Bay. Beautiful!! Had a good chat to Colin as well. He was cleaning rooms when I departed band such a nice man. Also big hello to Snoopy. He's curious but lovely. You'll know what I mean when u stay there. Do it!!
