CamperCo Campervan Hire

Fantastic camper van hire for the start of spring on NZ South Island! We rented the high top camper for most of October and couldn’t fault the vehicle or the service. The camper had all the bedding, a comfy bed, kitchen equipment, running water, ample storage space, double battery (meaning you can charge in the back without needing an external power source) and diesel heater…which was a lifesaver on the cold nights! The service was great, camper dropped to the ferry terminal, a run through of all the electrics and how to use them on collection. Able to drop off in Christchurch and we’re given a lift to the airport. Cannot fault this company! Super affordable for the service/vehicle/insurance the whole thing!

Hired a sleepervan for three weeks to tour around both islands. It was fantastic- it was clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. Ross was super responsive and helpful. Can’t recommend enough!!

We chose CamperCo initially because of the prices and the value for money we found from doing our research put them head and shoulders above other camper van hire companies at the time we booked.The pick up from Picton was smooth. Mike and Melissa were very friendly and relaxed with the drop off and pick up. They were also flexible when we needed to change the drop off location to the ferry port in order for us to catch our ferry.One thing I would suggest is that the guys in Picton make sure they have gone over everything with the van upon pick up. I found myself asking lots of questions about things that I’m sure went without saying but because it was my first time renting a van I didn’t really know anything and wasn’t given that much by the guys who dropped it. For example - they showed me all the basics, which was great but emptying the grey water water, refilling the LPG were both things that I had to work out for myself just because I wasn’t aware that those things were needed to be done!Don’t let that overshadow what an amazing experience we had. The communication from Ross was very helpful and Mike & Melissa were extremely pleasant and accommodating. I was just a bit of a rookie when it came to Van life!As for the van itself. What an amazing vehicle. I’m not a small bloke so being able to stand up in the high top and walk around and have space (esp in the rain!) was a real treat. It drove well, was well kitted out and looked the part!I was especially impressed at all the additional bits and bobs that were included; map, anti-bug candle, solar powered fridge, all the electronic attachments, awning, table and chairs, bed sheets & pillows, it was just the works and I could not have asked for more!

Hired a Mercedes Sprinter campervan for a tour of the South Island for 3 adults. Excellent service from Ross and the team and had a couple of minor issues which were resolved straight away. Couldn't have been any more impressed with the service. The van coped very well on the ups and downs of the South Island, very pleased with its performance.
