Japan Mart Riccarton
One of my favourite places for international snacks and treats. Tasty and affordable Japanese food and ingredients for cooking delicious meals. The staff are all lovely and make the shopping atmosphere so much happier. Definitely recommend going in and giving your tastebuds an overseas experience of treats.

Amazing Japanese store, equivalent version/size of kosco and sunson. Products range from food and drink to cosmetic products and homeware. Price on the higher end. Friendly staff, well organised store and isles, ample parking outside with family friendly parking space.

I like going to Japan Mart for all my favorite Japanese groceries. The only reason for the four star is because of the isles always blocked by boxes; pram unfriendly and hazardous.

I have been in a lot asian shops around christchurch but this is one of the best if you like all japanese authentic goods. Some product s are really pricey sometimes the triple of the price you would pay in Japan. But it’s a really good sorted japanese food store!

Very rude female manager in this store, she refused to tell me her name when I mentioned I want to complain to their Akl head office regarding her bad attitude and poor customer service. I usually shop here since this store opend, and never had problem like that, so shame on this manager.

Good selection of Japanese products. A lot of snacks and confectionery as well as frozen food, personal items as well as Japanese alcohol and home/kitchen items.Most of the confectionary and snacks have considerable markup, which is understandable considering they are not daily items and are “luxuries”.Friendly staff and organized and clean store.Highly recommended if you are just craving some good ole Calbee のりしお chips.

They have lots of stuff selling. Especially like the department selling past best date, which is considering cheaper than normal price, for those who don't really care about the date can buy it. They have lots of stuff like snacks, frozen food, seasoning sauce, japanese rice wine and some stationary or daily use products. They even sell ceramic plate and bowl with only 3 dollars. Will definitely come back again.
