Website says it's open when it's not, closed when it says it's open. WEBSITE UPDATE NEEDED.The owner / onsite manager Helen Dron IS VERY RUDE TO CUSTOMERS, US INCLUDED, we come every now and then and it's always the same if not getting worse.

A pretty nice pub (Is the only positive thing I can say after our visit). The person who I believe was the Manager was extremely rude to us. And the food poisoning my wife got from our very average meals wasn't desirable, either. Terrible experience for our first time visiting Upper Hutt.

This was not a great experience, my partner got banger’s and mash and a beer and he was charged $50 for those two things when they were not $50! The meals were not that great. Will not be coming back

Very ordinary experience. Waitress was friendly and efficient however the food did not match the FOH service. Meals were disappointing, barely warm and not fresh. Definitely does not live up to the claim of being a “gastro” pub.

Great selections of full meals and bar snacks. Large range of alcohol. Friendly staff and great service. Very nice, relaxed atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Perfect steak.

Great little place to have a yummy lunch! I went with a bunch of workmates and very much enjoyed my Thai beef wrap, whilst also getting jealous of everyone else's burgers! My favourite looking one was smashed meatballs! Yummy! My workmate loved it!
