An absolute gem of a shop! Great selection of yarn in such unique colourways. Les and Tara are not only knowledgeable about the yarn, gauge, everything there is to know about knitting and crochet, but they are so friendly and warm and welcoming, you just don't want to leave as soon as you come through the doors!You are free to knit on Saturdays and first Friday night of every month - a great way to get to know other knitters and engage within the community! I have and will continue to recommend this place to everyone!

Tucked away in an unassuming row of shops in the heart of Glen Eden this beautiful little store is a delight to walk into. It’s so welcoming it makes you want to sit for a while and knit. With beautiful colours and textures all around, its easy to find something to inspire you. I’m a novice knitter but this place makes me want to knit a whole lot more.

I cannot recommend this New Zealand business highly enough! had never heard of or dealt with Prosper Yarn before now but I found them online when I was searching for a faux fur pompom to buy. I placed my order and received a confirmation email straight away and then only a couple of hours later I received another email saying that my order was in the post and on it's way to me. I also then received an email directly from the business owner thanking me for my order and letting me know that I only had to ask if I ever needed help with anything. Such incredible customer service!! Even though I live at a rural address my order arrived so quickly! The item was perfect and I was especially impressed that even though my order was very small I still received a hand written note with care instructions as well as a lovely little chocolate bar. What absolutely wonderful customer service and attention to detail from this awesome New Zealand business as well as great products! Thank you so much Prosper Yarn :)

I love dropping by the Prosper Yarn Studio, for a chat with the friendly Prosper team, and a browse at all the wonderful yarn, to join in the knitting afternoons, or just to be inspired by all the great bases and colourways. I'm so lucky to have Prosper Yarn as my local yarn store!

A wonderful place to get your creativity flowing. Its like stepping into another world where the senses; (rich colours and textures) are indulgently fed. Being able to see the dying process on the go is an added bonus. Its like visiting a store from you grandmother's time, but with a modern vibe and relaxed atmosphere. I wish there were more personable shops like this around!
