It's been just over 1 year since I got the keys to my new place and I can't believe how fast that time has gone. I really do love my home - I couldn't have asked for a better first home! And I'm so grateful for the advice and support from the entire team at Homes by Parklane, right from my first conversations with James & Diana, through to sitting down with James L. to go through plans and pick fittings, and finally the work that Dom & the building team did! Their patience in answering all my questions and their attention to detail made the entire process so easy. Can't thank them enough!

Superior customer service. Realistic expectations with consultation on what is important to you. Ask for James Maher he's not just a flashy salesman with $$ for eyes. He's down to earth, actively listens, won't give you the lowest specs just to make the most profit out of your budget and he genuinely knows what he's talking about with every aspect of the build. Recommended to us from more than one person. We are so happy to be building with them. Photos to come!

Would not recommend this company at all and strongly recommend everyone staying well away. My partner and I made an offer on a house and land package conditional on being a fixed price contract and it was accepted.Prior to this, my partner had multiple discussions with James Maher discussing the fixed price aspect and was reassured that it would be fully fixed. Contract was provided and it was not fixed price. Considering we were told that the contract we were given was not the first (James stated that he had to send it back to their lawyers once already) one can only assume he was trying to slide this non-price fixed through without us knowing. We were subsequently told we could get our lawyer to write something up if we wanted something different in the contract.They act in very bad faith and after stating that we are not signing and requesting our deposit back- we were ignored (by the director of the company as well as James Maher). On the phone call my partner had with James stating we would not be signing and are requesting our deposit back James got very aggressive and stated that he thinks we just changed our mind about wanting a house. This is so far from the truth, we are wanting a house however will not sign with a company who deceives in a contract.We requested our deposit back again with a time stated or we would be going to the tribunal because they were acting in bad faith. Our deposit was returned (no email contact or apology) clearly highlighting that they were acting in bad faith.Once again I would strongly suggest keeping well away. We are lucky we rely on legal advice, instincts and seeing through sales and pressure tactics. If you are to purchase (or even consider) this company, I could not recommend more strongly getting outside legal advice and reading through all paperwork with a fine tooth comb. As stated in another review, do not take their word of a ‘Standard Contract’, and they could not spell my partner’s name correctly either- two different incorrect ways in a single document. This highlights their complete lack of attention to detail and this is just in a contract- I am glad we did not have to see the lack of detail in a build.

I would 100% recommend James Maher from Homes by Parklane. He is the reason behind a very smooth and happy process in our first home build. Can't wait to move in our lovely home. Thank you James

Homes by Parklane built our house in Rolleston - It was done prior to the contracted time, and of superior quality to our neighbours for a lower price. James Maher was really good to deal with and a friend throughout.

I love my new house but an extremely stressful and unpleasant experience. Too many issues to list here.Was advised in the sales meetings that driveway was included. After being encouraged not to seek legal advice for ‘standard contract’, was told driveway not included – additional $10kWas left to organise the driveway on my own then given 2 weeks notice to get it laidOne single proactive update on building progress from the time the foundation poured to completion. All other updates were initiated by me.Did let me use my own plasterer though, which was good.No response from the owner when issues raised. Still no response to this day, over 5 months later.Made to feel like an inconvenience not a customer. Couldn’t even spell my name right.

My family and I lived in a home built by Homes by Parklane for 12 years and loved it, so when we decided to build a new home for us and our investment properties, we decided to go with Parklane. We have ended up building four houses with them and could not be happier. The quality of the houses speaks for itself, with modern design and finishings. The time to complete the builds was very reasonable. The builds were delivered through fixed price contracts which gave us easy access to bank finance.We have since conducted property viewings with prospective tenants and received glowing feedback on the quality of our houses.Homes by Parklane have a fantastic team that have been super helpful. A special thank you to James Lill for honouring the contract terms even in a challenging market, Ashish for being so courteous with my numerous queries and requests, Mary for organising and managing all the contractors and having such an amazing can-do attitude, Dom and Brendon and all the others for building such spectacular houses for us.We would not hesitate to partner with Homes by Parklanes again for our future builds.

Keep an eye during foundation stage. Otherwise you will be surprised with a minimum of 5k added invoice. Their contract says any additional digging will cost extra money for more foundation. They are utilizing this situation to eat your money unnecessary. Must go there and check how deep they are digging and take some photos with you for a proof. Be extra careful with this company. Google, please don't remove my review as I am happy to provide you the proof. I am not just one, there are many people had this similar issue with this builder.
