Tim's Garden

Went to a great introduction to composting workshop run by Tim and supported by Nelson City Council. Great information, well explained - left feeling really well informed. Worth attending a workshop or getting advice from this team if you can.

Hi I have used Tim's Garden gardening service and I recently attended a composting workshop that I found very informative and helpful. I have been composting for many years but without much research into the 'right' to do this. So Tim's Garden free workshop presenting the key tips to effective composting was really informative as well as receiving a booklet on the key points to take home.I certainly recommend supporting this company.

I selected Tim's Gardens based on the health of the plants outside their Gloucester St base as I passed on daily walks. I knew nothing else about the business or staff. Contacting Tim's Gardens was the best hunch so far. Very professional, very knowledgeable, passionate about plants and the team had the ability to deliver the vision I had in my head. I have a garden that suits me much better than before -- as a non-gardener I'm thrilled to have found a company who could bring my ideas into reality.

I recently attended a 'Compost 101' workshop with Tims Garden & I must say it was pretty brilliant. The hour was extremely beneficial, insightful, informative & held in a very casual & flexible style. Tim was a great presenter & time was taken to answer all questions & everyone benefitted from the open forum discussions & hearing other people's problems/situations/solutions helped everyone there. We took away some really helpful & useful details on how to improve our home composting. Also, must take this opportunity to thank the Nelson City Council whose funding made this free workshop invaluable. Good on ya NCC, & thanks a million to Tim & Tim's Garden.

Tim presented a very well prepared, insightful and useful workshop on Rain Harvesting. He provided lots of choice of how to rain harvest - all well illustrated and supported with his own depth of knowledge. I would highly recommend this workshop.

We are living on a steep slope and the team installed a retaining wall and extended our parking area. We have been very happy with the entire process, from quote, communication, built to end result.

We were happy with the work they completed and we appreciated the advice Tim gave us around artificial lawns. So glad we listened and didn't put in a lawn at all because that just means we have more lovely native plants !

Composting 101, with Tim, will be one of the most informative, gardening course you could ever attend. Tim presented, what can sometimes be a very hit and miss activity, in a simple and understandable format. The class was well attended and Tim spent extra time answering my many questions. My new found knowledge, a take home goody bag, including some pots of herbs, made for a very enjoyable afternoon.Fran Stafford

Our large garden had become an out-of-control jungle. Roman came to assess and right away we felt at ease with his knowledge and confidence. He also listened to what we wanted, and understood our priorities. We made a plan with Roman, to tidy the garden first, then regular maintenance, replanting in autumn, and finally doing some landscaping and adding more fruit trees and a veggie patch. Roman was onboard with it all, offering his fantastic experience and so many great ideas. Chelsea and Jamie came for cleanup day 1, and they did an incredible job with great enthusiasm, even replanting some of the plants we liked and clearning the front garden. Chelsea and Roman came for cleanup day 2 and managed to turn the rest of the jungle into a lovely garden. We couldn't believe how much they got through (including fighting off wasps from a discovered nest!) We're so happy that we found Tim's Garden, and this team! They're lovely people, know their business, reliable, come fully equip, and they are incredibly professional. We look forward to a long relationship with Roman and the team at Tim's Garden, and we're excited to have them reinvent our garden! We can't recommend them highly enough!
