Rating not reflecting on staff just decor a little primitive toilets need upgrade locals are friendly staff very obliging food pizza$20 no other menu.

A solid small town bar with a wonderful bunch of locals frequently sharing stories and yarns.Has heaps of character and the prices are reasonable AF. Still not sure how you get a numbered beer glass here, every time I ask someone - I get a different story.

Switched on staff, great community of friendly helpful locals (I am one) Whanau vibe ..The toilets..awesome lick of paint and small upgrade..clean..Karaoke nights a blast..Small homely place with big character..

Lovely service, quaint bar with a beautiful outside area for families or groups to enjoy the sea breeze while the wood oven is cooking pizza.Really enjoyed our time at the taipa tavern.Will be back again.

Excellent place to have a cold beer and good yarn. Ended up spending a lot of time here as it was fun and welcoming. Pizza was thin crust and yum. I'm not into horses but had a flutter from a locals tip which paid for my beer. Pretty solid band there one night.
