Most amazing and unexpected experience for lunch I have ever had. I am not impressed by service or presentation. The venue is charming, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is outstanding. They have an interesting selection of craft beers that are very worth sampling. Definitely try the Double IPA.! Take the time to stop at the House of Hop if passing, and it is well worth making it a destination from anywhere within a 2hr drive. 5 stars, 10/10.

Back in May we celebrated my mum's 80th birthday at the House of Hops. Lisa and the team set a beautiful table outside but just as we were due to arrive the weather took a cold turn. As we were walking in Lisa was moving other diners from the enclosed deck area to set up our table of approx 30 people inside. Nothing was a problem and everyone was all smiles. The team were attentive checking on drinks and our comfort. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and the entire experience was made all the better by a well oiled front of house team and kitchen team that rolled out our meals in quick time. Thanks Lisa and Brew Team, you made my mum's day super enjoyable!!

Thoroughly recommend a visit here. Great food, absolutely amazing beers and a good vibe. We had the wings, kids slider, kids cheese toasty, and loaded beef nachos. They also do take away beer in riggers too which is super handy. Will definitely be coming back.

What a lovely find, tucked away just out of Geraldine. Simple but quality menue and then the beers to try.They have a free POP for NZMCA members. It's a nice shelterd spot. Great place to stop for the night, have a lovely meal, and sample the beers and not worry about driving.The service is fantastic, really friendly and attentive staff.

If you are heading through this way, make sure to stop for a bite to eat! Had an absolutely wonderful experience here, warm and hospitable staff, roaring fire, beautiful atmosphere and amazing food. Highly recommend the tofu tacos and the brownie, wow!

We booked a table for two on Saturday, they gave us the heads up that a large group was coming in after 6pm so we arrived prior (so no waiting) we were seated straight away and hubby tried their Hazy IPA (yum!) and I had a local Geraldine Humdinger gin (nice to see they support other locals). The food was delicious! Hubby had the House of Hop Craft Beer Beef Burger and I had the Fish of the day and the cheesecake for dessert. Really generous portions and everything was beautifully cooked and sooo tasty. Fabulous service, staff were super nice, and Lisa (one of the owners) came by to have a quick chat. Highly recommend if you travel to Tekapo have a lunch or dinner stop at The House of Hop. 5 stars!
