Camelot Arms Motor Lodge

I was only in Auckland for a night but I had a pleasant stay here. The room was clean and adequate but the most memorable thing about this place was how accomodating the hosts were. I had specific requests and they were happy to accomodate me and my friends, to which I'm very appreciative of.

I echo many of the other poor reviews on here. I note that each response to a bad review is met with a response that blames a debit card issue or says the customer is lying. I can assure any potential customers here that the issue is the motel.The managers are terribly rude and should not be in any form of customer service. I'm not sure which one is Michael and which is david, but the Asian guy was rude beyond belief, with his partner often having intervene. We were told when we arrived that they had double booked us so we were moved to a family room (the tone implying this was our fault) and they might have to move us the following day. We never heard anything else from them until the Asian guy came to the room the next day and yelled at my mum for not having our stuff packed and ready to move. Completely unacceptable given this was an issue on THEIR end. The rooms are very average and as others have said, signs up with poorly worded messages about costs incurred for damage of ridiculous items such as cups.Absolutely under no circumstances would I stay here again.

We had a cancelled flight and we had no where to go and these lovely people where able to put me and my sister up for the 5 nights until we got our flight back home.Thankyou very much and they have been most obliging

The room was clean and comfortable, others I was staying with did say the noise of the planes coming in and out was noticeable, however it was not something I noticed much personally

My friends and I had a room booked here since JULY for an event in March this year. Rung up to query something regarding the rooms earlier this week, and the staff member (Michael) proceeded to get verbally agressive and yelling down the phone. He then proceeded to cancel our booking and we have now been left with nowhere to stay due to the business of the event and the lack of rooms available. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Very very disappointed and frustrated at the terrible customer service.

Service very old school almost to the point of being rude until I suppose trust is built with staff after that seemed fine unless I looked dogey or something room was nice and clean only down side would be traffic noise beside that close to Bk and Indian take away only spent 12 hours here so review reflexs what I experience at the time

Stayed one wet Friday night waiting for my daughter to arrive at Akld airport from Australia 12.30am...she caught shuttle and I stayed in bed at Camelot waiting for her..good arrangement. Michael at the reception is a gem.. rooms clean tidy..beds comfy..thankyou for the night Michael...

Very poor service. So rude. Not welcoming whatsoever. Chinese guy at reception very rude. Yelled at me for no reason, yet I wasn't yelling at him. Told him off for talking to me in that tone. He got angry over $250 bond fee which I never knew about as it is not stated on their website. He never asked me to give the reservation number, it was all about the bond fee. His old white partner is no different. They're both very rude and don't deserve a star at all. They need to learn how to deal with customers professionally. Things could've turned out differently for them, but they're not worth it. They gave us the room and all of a sudden they kept ringing the room we were in and kept telling us to leave. SO UNPROFESSIONAL!! Why give a key if you want us to leave 15 mins later? I made sure I got my refund before I left cos they're scammers. Had an argument with both men. They really needed a good punch to the face. Being a woman, I would've happily done it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. THERE ARE BETTER ACCOMODATION PLACES NEARBY ESP TOWARDS THE AIRPORT. THEY'RE SCAMMERS AND VERY RACIST! DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU'RE NOT WHITE OR CHINESE!!!

We stayed a week in one of the newly renovated rooms. King bed with kitchenette and ensuite. Very clean, tidy and well equipped. Each morning we were delighted to be able to go through the sliding door to sit in the beautiful, peaceful garden. The motel location itself was excellent with a variety of shops within walking distance. Our hosts Michael and David were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
