Nicky really made me feel like a special bride as soon as I spoke to her on the phone and walked into her shop. Nicky altered my dress and made it AMAZING for me in every way :) Nicky is absolutely amazing to deal with and takes so much pride in her work, she is so patient and willing to help in anyway. She is a kind, beautiful person and I would recommend anyone who is looking for a wedding dress to go and see her! Thank you so much for everything you did for me leading up to my special day Nicky :)

Sadly my wedding dress experience was totally ruined by Hera Couture.I ordered through their WA stockist, and when the dress arrived - 4 months later, it had a major production fault. I could go into great detail about how poorly the entire situation was handled, but to put simply; I strongly suggest avoiding this designer, and their WA stockist.I would hate to see another bride go through this before their wedding day.

Nothing but professional and personal service. I went to buy 2 gowns and I got 2 very different gowns. I absolutely adore the quality and the price. Thank you all so much

I would highly recommended Vimmi from Glimpses. Super easy to communicate with and her knowledge and experience speaks for it self. I have purchased 3 outfits from her now and all are very high quality and great service.

Unfortunately my visit was not what every girl dreams of.Firstly this was an hour and a half appointment as well as paid and I travelled a long way to get there. I would've really appreciated if I was able to have a look around and find something I liked as I was unsure on what I was after and every dress that was brought in was not my style. Which then wasted a lot of my time and money. We were never offered anything to drink either.Secondly I was put with a new lady on her first day (who was lovely, and doing her best) But unfortunately she wasn't as experienced, as you'd expect and didn't fit the dresses to me which made me swim in every dress. I did not feel like a bride at all. She needed someone to assist her the whole time as it made my experience not very professional.Unfortunately I would not suggest this place to any upcoming brides as I had much more enjoyable and professional experiences elsewhere. Was a bit of a disappointment to end my special day.

Nazneen was amazing! She did some beautiful final touch ups/alterations on my dress and am so happy with the end result! Nazneen made me feel really comfortable and felt like my dress was in safe hands!Thank you! ☺️

I wouldn't hire from Brides on Thorndon again. We hired our mens suits for our Wedding in April 2023. Firstly, I agree with all the other feedback that Jenny is amazing. Jill, the owner, however let us down and caused me a great amount of stress. We booked in our final suit fitting and flew up our son from Christchurch for the morning for the fitting. Jill failed to write the booking in her book and although they advertise they open at 10am on a Saturday, they weren't!. We waited 35 minutes outside. We rang and left messages and emailed. There is no mobile contact number for anything urgent, so we left to try to get suits elsewhere. We were called just before 11am to be told Jenny and Jill were now there. They had gone out for coffee. Jenny looked very apologetic, however Jill was adamant that as the owner she could shut up shop get coffee as she pleased. When I questioned her as to why there is no mobile number so people could contact them inside of working hours, I was told she didn't want to be on call to everyone and anyone. I felt completely dismissed by Jill and I found her attitude unprofessional. There are other options and as you cant guarantee that Jill will be open, or contactable, I would definitely look elsewhere. Its just too stressful dealing with her.BTW- the boys did look amazing and the only stress in organizing our wedding was dealing with Jill.

Been over a year now since I bought my dress from Astra, and recently visited alongside my friends who are getting married soon!Lisa and the team are so lovely and knowledgeable - I tried on so many dresses I didn’t even think I’d suit, and I ended up picking a dress that wasn’t on my wish list.You feel very welcome at Astra, and in good hands!Visiting again last week with a friend was no different - they were really looked after, and Lisa showed great interest in the “vibe” of what they wanted their wedding to be like. Both dresses that they picked are just so perfectly them, and I don’t think we could’ve gone anywhere better than Astra for that!

Such a beautiful setting. Motels are so clean and comfortable. Rainbow, the owner is the most welcoming and helpful person, the perfect host. The cleaning staff were also gorgeous. Our third stay here.

AMAZING! Never felt so comfortable in a store! My first fitting and Chrissy made everything go smoothly and I found the dress that Chrissy picked so happy highly recommend her and her staff x
