Organic restaurant

Like previous reviewers have pointed out, what was once a lively and bustling cafe with a welcoming atmosphere is no longer - I would like to know why?Generally doesn’t open until 10:30 (even though it says open at 9) and person behind the counter seems extremely bored, disengaged with customer, on her phone; not wanting to be there.I hope Huckleberry will take notice and make an effort to restore what was once such a lovely spot to meet and enjoy organic food and hot drinks.

A beautiful place to celebrate our 25th Anniversary.Somewhere near our place, tucked in a quiet lane of Leeston, there is a beautiful, quiet and unique cafe and restaurant. Sue, the owner and also chef creates beautiful, colourful and appetising food. We enjoy the food and friendly service by her and her staff, Nicky.* This restaurant menu is prepared by week and by season. Kind of like you get what you see on menu but what we are amazed with is the right and perfect taste of each plate and combo. And definitely made out of passion and love. In order to dine here happily, you need to slow down your pace, no rush (of time) and enjoy the food, beautiful time with family or friends. You will truly love this place. ❤️

Such a special find. Hidden gem!! So quirky and quaint. The design interior and exterior is superb. Everywhere you look there is something interesting to see. Such a leafy peaceful oasis just out of town. The design and atmosphere is even surpassed by the excellent food. Speciality breads and generous cheese board with a beautiful variety.This is not the same as every other restaurant/cafe, you won't find fries, and maybe not the coffee you want. But go with an open mind and ready to enjoy and relax. I think it helps the owners if you book in advance. We will most definitely be back!!!

Excellent!I visited Herb + Olive Cafe twice; once for lunch and the second time for breakfast.Both times, the food was excellent; the service prompt and courteous.The location is very central too - with both indoor and outdoor seating.I will happily eat her again.

Really great store catering to your organic and zero waste shopping needs. I especially love the extra virgin olive oil that I refill from their store.

FINALLY, people who know how to do hospitality right!!!.Superb cafe for amazing coffee which actually has crema! We are espresso and piccolo drinkers. The food is made with live and fresh produce!! We had the mushroom dish and the Fungj Benedict.. totally amazing and massive on flavour.Would certainly go again when visiting Blenheim. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Great coffee, amazing breakfast.Loved this breakfast. Eggs poached perfectly (served fast) with a side of amazing mushrooms. Coffee was first class. This place also focussed on vegan options and has a strong environmental focus serving things like Fugitive Wine which is available by the glass (no single use bottles). Great place

Extremely poor customer service in the cafe today. The barista couldn't be bothered exchanging conversation, constantly on her phone via bluetooth ear buds. Zero communication. Tables were dirty and not cleared. Newspapers dated 12th January.Won't be returning, such a shame, it used to be thriving.

Cashier didnt mark down the item we had and it clearly came from the at least 50% off table " also had a chocolate that clearly came from the box that stated it was $1 and because it was a "different" flavour we didnt get it at the sale price

Great food, great coffee. It was a busy morning and I was feeling for the two workers who were working - they could have done with a couple more people working but other than that it was fantastic.
