Beautiful, peaceful surrounds, with lovely villas extremely well-appointed. Very far out from the main road, we thought we'd missed it! Attended a wedding here. There were not enough seats for the wedding guests outside for the ceremony. The canapes took too long to come out so most people had retired or left the property to wait for the reception before the bulk of the food made it out, the staff then served it to the villas where the bridal families were staying though which was nice. Reception food was on time and fabulous. Lacewood is for intimate functions, not large or budget affairs. Overall 5 stars.

I have attended a wedding at Lacewood and things went very well. There was a lovely outdoor area where the couple was married and options for indoor and outdoor dining and embibing. The facilities were very pleasant and the staff on the night exceptionally good. It is a location set a little bit away from the busier parts of the Wairarapa but that has its pleasurable points as well. This would be a place worthy of your interest for a medium to large gathering with limited overnight accommodation on site. Other accommodation is less than half an hour away in Martinborough.

Very old country but awesome place to have a wedding. Hosts were super helpful. On site cottage accommodation is rustic but charming and fun and would suit family group.

Beautiful place and amazing grounds. A great place to disconnect from work and technology and get away for a weekend. Great place for a wedding.
