Waikuku Beach Surf Club Public Toilets
Took the kids there for a trip. They loved it. The beach is lovely, just as I remembered it from when I was a student. I'm not saying how long ago that was! The beach is patrolled by life guards, with good equipment from 9 o'clock until 5 o'clock in a flagged zone. The club buildings are lovely and the sandy beach is warm and spacious, even though there were a lot of swimmers and sunbathers. Kids are offered toys from the club's small toy library. I spoke to one of the lifeguards, a very friendly, helpful young lady. My grandson was very impressed with the lifeguards and worked very hard at his swimming lesson next day. Because there is a camp and a shop near the beach, with playground and splash pool back from the sand and surf, and plenty of picnic space, I recommend this place as a great place to go for a day or a week. Not far from Christchurch, Rangiora, or Kaiapoi.

Waikuku Beach Surf Club Public Toilets
Great spot north of the city. Plenty of room for surf and sand dunes to run up and down with the kids
