Dr. John Chaplin- Thyroid and Head and Neck Surgeon

My experience with Dr. Chaplin has been amazing. Very professional, and gives really good advise for when I went for my initial consultation for my nose last year. I have already had my surgery and planning another one with him this year. Also his staffs are very welcoming and really cool to talk to. He also replies promptly to any request I have via email. I wouldn't choose any other surgeon than him.Keep up the good work John ! =)

My thyroid case was a complex one, having had 2 previous surgeries (not in NZ) and having suffered serious complications with each one. Dr Chaplin was just the surgeon for this case. After my first consultation with him, I was completely confident with his skills and expertise. I had no doubts at all going into surgery and I knew that he would take good care of me. My surgery went well, and I didn't have any complications at all and my recovery has been incredible. I am so grateful to Dr Chaplin and his team.

About 4 years ago, my wife found a neck lump, and we were struggling if we need do a surgery, we were lucky to find a video of Dr. John Chaplin in, we could feel his professional from his introduction, we booked an appointment and we consulted him, a nice patient and professional man. He explained us clearly and we trusted him very much. He did the surgery for my wife, a perfect surgery, my wife does not need take any medicine after surgery, this is my wife's first surgery in New Zealand, we were new here, it was hard for us that time, but we were lucky we met Dr. John Chaplin. Dr John Chaplin recently preformed a lateral and bilateral neck dissection and total thyroidectomy on me following a recent cancer diagnosis. He has been the most amazing doctor and surgeon, and I could not have found myself in better hands. Dr Chaplin is approachable and easy to talk to, and he has been happy to answer all of our questions, of which there have been many. He inspires complete confidence, as it is absolutely apparent that he is an expert in his field. Not quite 3 weeks on from a fairly major operation, my incision is barely noticeable, no complications, not even any bruising, and I am well on the way to recovery. I had a neck dissection and total thyroidectomy in Feb this year. Dr Chaplin is a great expert. He has so much experiences and knowledge. I am recovering very well and the scar even not noticeable. Dr John Chaplin has performed two surgeries on me (one recent and another 12 years ago). The processes for both surgeries were very well planned and handled.
