Waitarere Beach
Great big beach and dog friendly. You can even drive with your car there. Huge wide area, very beautiful.

Beautiful beach. Very wide and flat. You could walk out into the surf a few hundred meters at least. Cars and alcohol is allowed. Despite it being a very busy day at the beach when we went, with cars parked in a line down the beach, it still felt like there was plenty of room. Just something to be mindful of if you are taking young children.

Great beach that you can take your vehicle on. Also great for dogs (on lead).Reasonably Safe for swimming and has surf life saving.

A lovely place to ride horses. Other people with dogs, walking, bbqs etc. I am amazed that the beach sand dunes has Increased. It means that the Surf life saving club had to built closer to the beach. This would be a great place to have a quick restaurant or burger bar with coffee, of course. Even if it was only summer. So many people enjoy this beach
