Larger museum than expected. Great info for the whole family about the history, culture and nature of the Mt Cook area. Fascinating gadgets, tools and photographs are displayed. Highly recommend visiting it before going for a walk in the region!

Great place to stop over to get information. The displays inside are quite interesting. There is a small souvenir shop in the Center. There's a small section that showcase the history of the hiking trails and guides.

So good! The majesty of Aoraki is really captured in the visitor centre. It rains a bunch so I’d recommend planning a few days in the area so you’re guaranteed a chance to see the mountains.

Very nice visitors center/museum. The staff was really helpful and gave good advice. The museum has enough things going on to be there for multiple hours. Everything is free to enter so this is definitely a place worth visiting if you got the time!

The Aoraki Mt. Cook National Park Visitor Centre is the one of the most beautiful Visitor Information I have visited. This is not only an information center , this is also a museum of Mt. Cook. If you want to do some hiking in this area, this is a place you need to visit. The staff at the center are very helpful . You can get useful maps and information from here . A beautiful design of the building, with an amazing garden at the back of the centre. A wonderful experience at the centre .

The beautiful scenery, when you take a helicopter to level with the snow-capped mountains in the sky, you will only feel huge and shocking, and there is also a glacier landing!
