Sadly the BEST GP quit the firm, what a shame, short notice and simply disappeared in a day... Is this an indicator of underlying political unrest within the firm" you have to guess so. Dr. Ed Barrio will be sincerely missed

NOT RECOMMENDED. BEST AVOIDED IN MY OPINION IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH.Prices for Fairfield Medical are fairly high depending on your age and whether or not you hold a community services card.Administration seems good overall and some staff seem to go the extra mile to assist, although I encountered poor customer service from some staff.I had been enrolled with one of the doctors here as a child - young adult and had transferred myself and my daughter from another practice. I would not recommend either of the doctors I have seen while enrolled here. I've heard some of the doctors at Fairfield Medical are very good but have not encountered one myself.I took my daughter in to see one of the doctors about ongoing issues for myself and my daughter. The GP seems a lovely person but I was not satisfied with the level of medical care.We were not given any effective treatment and it seemed the doctor either didn't listen to what I said or just readily discounted it. I was told I'd have to come back again if it didn't work.I had already been gargling salt water and using a saline nose spray so essentially doing the same seemed a waste of time. I told the doctor this and that the issue had been ongoing for months which I believe should have been a reason for concern, but feel I was ignored. This level of service from this GP is well below what we have received from any other GP anywhere else in Hamilton, and quite frankly not good enough in my opinion. We are now no better off than before we went in (worse off in fact as it cost over $50) and I'm going to have to go elsewhere to get help for what the doctor at Fairfield Medical did not treat. The expectation I'll keep coming back at over $50 a time seemed unreasonable.I will be transferring to another practice and based on my experience would strongly recommend avoiding Fairfield Medical unless you are able to get one of the good GPs I'm told are here.I ended up complaining about the lack of service (not expecting anything to happen) and while the fact it was followed up was good, I was disappointed and unconvinced by the explanation given, options provided, great difficulty in making contact due to an error in their phone system (almost a week), and fact my questions via email were repeatedly ignored.Rather than addressing my concerns (came in for help, didn't get any, wanted to see another doctor) the staff member in seemed very defensive, a bit contrary, tried to put words in my mouth during the conversation, and seemed more interested in arguing than in obtaining a resolution, which should have been easy, as initially I'd said I was unhappy with the service and just asked if I could be transferred to another GP. The staff member insisted on creating conflict where there was no need for it.Some of what I was told differed to what I'd heard from 2 other patients I'd recently spoken with about my experience (I was told all the GPs were like the one I'd encountered, which I don't believe is the case).Revised score down to one star based on poor response from fairfield medical.

been going to this medical center for years. i stay with them because my doctor here is so kind and caring towards me and listens very carefully to my needs. Tho i will say they are Extremely expensive it costs me $50 to see my doctor at 27 years old. and i do wish they could lower the price especially when it can get hard to fork up $50 on the spot when you desperately in need to see a doctor. If they were to make it cheaper i would visit my doctor more regularly. if it was say around $40 i would give this review 5 stars. The only reason i stay with them is because i really like my doctor and im too afraid i wont find a better doctor than my current doctor.

Today, I had a scheduled appointment with Dr. Hiruni at 11:45. I arrived at the medical center at 11:40 and checked in with the receptionist. After providing my name, I was asked to take a seat. I waited until 12:00, but the doctor did not call me in for the appointment. Given that their appointments are typically 15 minutes long, I began to wonder about the reason for the delay. At around 12:00, another patient arrived, and to my surprise, the doctor called them in ahead of me. Feeling concerned, I approached the receptionist at around 12:05 to inquire about the situation. There were two receptionists present, but the one I initially spoke to was occupied with another person. The other receptionist offered to assist me and investigate the matter. However, she repeatedly asked if I had initially checked in at the front desk. Eventually, she requested that I return to my seat while she communicated with the doctor and promised to provide me with an update. At this point, my impatience grew as I realized I was already running late for work. She ran around for a little and the next thing I see, she walks out of the building. It was about 12:20 at this point so I went back to the reception. I walked up to the new receptionist that had replaced the previous two receptionists, who had left the building by then(for their lunch break I assume) and asked her how long the doctor would be. This is when the new receptionist told me that there was an alleged “error with the system” and the doctor didn’t even know I had come in. From the way the second receptionist kept asking me if I came to the front desk when I first came in made me wonder if there was “an error with the system” at all or if they just forgot to let the doctor know. The new receptionist said she doesn’t know how long the doctor would be and I told her I’ve been waiting for 40 minutes now and I’m very late for work and she goes “oh I apologise but you can wait longer or reschedule?!?” Considering that I had already waited for a week to secure this appointment, the prospect of waiting another week for a new one was highly undesirable, especially when I had already spent nearly 45 minutes at the medical center, causing significant lateness for work.I asked the receptionist if the doctor is able to see me after the current patient and she said she’s not sure if the doctor would or not. The doctor came out in another 5 minutes and she tells me “you missed your appointment already and you’d have to reschedule now” At that point my mum had to interfere and tell her we’ve been waiting for 45 minutes now and we didn’t miss our appointment. However she ended up taking us in and treating me.I work in customer service as well so I’m well aware that mistakes happen. The receptionists could’ve apologised properly rather than walking out of the building and literally running away from their mistake. It was ridiculous how they completely ignored the fact that I had been waiting for an extensive period, wasting my time, and simply told me to reschedule the appointment as if it was my fault. The receptionists were highly impolite from the beginning. They should learn how to treat their patients better. Totally unacceptable.Their handling of this situation was extremely lacking in professionalism, and as a result, I have decided not to return to this medical center.

Pretty good service! However, they really need to take better care of their goldfish. The poor creatures are gasping at the surface of the water because there isn't enough oxygen in the tank. It's very depressing sitting in the waiting room just to see them suffer.

Don't bother turning up if you don't have a mask. They don't have any spare and I wasn't aware I had to bring one. The receptionist turned me away without even asking my name so it probably looked like I didn't show up from the doctors pov which wasn't the case, waste of an appointment.

Appalling reception manners. Unfortunately this has been always an issue and continues to be. Very sad and I wish this could be addressed.

I have always found the doctors and staff very helpful and kind, but I would recommend sticking to phoning for prescriptions rather than ordering repeats through manage my health. There seems to be an automated message which goes out whether your scrip is ready to pick up or not, and I have never had a same day request actually processed the same day. My most recent request was somehow faxed to the wrong pharmacy.
