Stopped by with my partner for breakfast when staying nearby. We had the breakfast muffin and a ham, cheese and tomato toasted sandwich, along with coffees. The service was friendly and the food served pretty quickly. It all tasted good and was reasonable value

Staff are super lovely, so sad to say it, but I wouldn't return here. I ordered the fish and chips and it tasted like frozen fish fingers and the salad was more a garnish. Coffee was also less than ideal. Place does have a lovely atmosphere.

DO NOT GO HERE. Worst cafe in NZ so far and I've been everywhere. Paid $26 for aa sausage roll which was cold & dry. The scone was also cold. The coffee was completely burnt - un-drinkable. Staff where friendly though, so it deserves at least 1 star.

Asked for coffee and muffin to have here - coffee came out in takeaway cups and muffin wasn't cooked through, edible but not great. Pretty annoying for me as I'm really trying to reduce my single use waste and got given a stupid takeaway cup, very unnecessary. Also feel like the super weak frothy flat white" was tried to be hidden under the lid

Wonderful spot. Must try the savoury scone which they heated up with melted butter on top. Very busy as bus load of tourist but staff were still quick and friendly with service.

Came here day after good Friday. Busy Saturday morning, but staff were amazing. Good friendly service, very fast, and good coffee bean roast (light -medium roast), so very well made. Wife ordered medium soy, they upgraded her to large (bonus!). A good well rounded cafe, good vibe, great driver reviver, worth a stop

The food is all wrapped in cling wrap, that’s not a good sign for freshness! I didn’t order any food when I saw that. Order two hot chocolate, one fluffy (3.5!) and two coffee and paid $27 but the coffees were impossible to drink and the barista came smocking on the front deck with her friend and it was all over our kids. I hate leaving a bad comment in such a small town where that’s probably the only cafe around, but that’s just the truth. I would recommend wait until you get to Franz Joseph where all cafes are quality and reasonably priced!

Don't come here for breakfast- Dearest place I have been to with over three months of traveling around NZ. $28.70 for what? Save your money and go down the road for a much better breakfast

Carrot cake was good and slightly warm(ed). The Dutch apple pie was served with whipped cream the way it should be. So kudos for that. Maybe the slice was smaller than what you get in the Netherlands and it was a little bit less sweet than what you'd get there.Coffee on the other hand was not what I call latte (on the picture)/flat white: big bubbles, no microfoaming, milk was nearly boiled (should be warmed to be hot to the touch instead, but you can hear the barista occasionally boil the milk).Giving this place 4 out of 5 because you don't really have anything better in the region open in the morning to serve you caffeine.

While we were to fox glacier, we werent sure where to dine out( as we are vegetarians/vegan). However we decided to try out this cafe and ordered a PiZza & fries and to our surprise it was delicious. The service was OK though.
