Great place, excellent spring and curry rolls.Great sweet and sour pork.Great place would highly recommend to anyone near!

Asked if they do a large half and half fried rice and sweet and sour and they said yes, got charged $28.80 and it wasn’t even half more like 1/3. When I asked her about it she just said yeah it’s tough and walked away after giving me my $1.20 or so. If I payed an extra $2 I could of got 2 larges and they didn’t even full it up all the way!!!

Pretty good value for money, quite tasty. We ordered a $43 pack to feed 2 kids and 3 adults. Still had enough for a decent fry-up breakfast the next morning

Ordered a bacon and egg burger, got a bacon and egg sandwich (no burger pattie) cost $8.00 Chips cost $4.50 for a single scoop, I don't know much about Fielding but I doubt the rents there justify charging 25 - 30% more than in the big cities. Asked the guy for some aioli for my expensive little portion of chips, he gave me a $3 tub that I later discovered was taretare sauce. Our travelling companion paid $24 for fish and chips and was underwhelmed to say the least. I wouldn't recommend this place.

The chicken cashew nut stir fry was disappointing....too much thickener in the sauce

TL:DR - The food from Fish King has lured me in, hook, line and sinker, I now drive from Palmerston North to Fielding for my weekly dose of Fish and Chips. Chips cooked to golden perfection, Fried rice with a powerful punch of flavor, and delicious burgers making you want more.Full review:Absolutely outstanding food. I stopped at Fish King to grab a quick feed on my way back to Palmy, little did I know, this decision would change my perception of takeout foods. I am based in Palmerston North, but have found myself travelling to Fish King for my weekly dose of takeaways, well worth the time and fuel.At the current time of this posting, I am chowing down on yet another dish of their Combo Fried Rice, which is packed with an enormous kick of flavor. The rice is cooked to perfection, not too soggy, not too dry. The aftertaste sticks with you making you want to eat more when you know you can't.The chips, each time purchased, are cooked to golden perfection with the perfect amount of crunch. Somehow the crispy crunch is maintained during the trip back to Palmy, unlike my previous regular shop which would go soggy within the 2 minute trip home.Burgers, this one got me. Outstanding and healthy. Instantly hooked. I ordered a F.K. Burger, their signature burger from what I can tell, The moment I opened that bag of joy, I saw actual fillings - Lettuce, Tomato, onion, crispy bacon and a nice 1/4 pound juicy patty with just the right amount of sauces to tie it all together. There may have been other fillings in there, but to be honest, it didn't last long enough for me to check. Has thee best combination fried rice I've ever had, was fill of flavor, got 3 medium servings from 1 order. Meat is tender a juicy. Think this is my new favorite dish from Fish King.

Love this little fish and chip shop!Always friendly staff and the fish and chips are great and decently priced!
