Sit Happens

We attended puppy classes with Adele for our Samoyed puppy Newt and then moved onto 1 on 1 sessions with her at various locations in Christchurch. Newt is now 1 and we are continuing these monthly. It is amazing having this 1 on 1 focussed training and Adele’s knowledge and explanations of various behaviour and training methods is exceptional. Newt loves Adele and we also love working with her. He is an easy puppy but we still find the 30minutes very worthwhile, he is not our first dog but still we are constantly learning new things and also getting feedback on various aspects. We would thoroughly recommend Adele and Sit Happens to any owner of any breed.

Through Lisa's 8 week Puppy Fun and Focus class you gain access to weekly videos on every possible thing you could find yourself wondering how to teach your pup, ranging from toilet training through to commands like drop it and sit (to name a few). Then, in small classes of no more than 5 pups, Lisa goes through every command starting off easy and building to the more complex ones whilst always ensuring we aren't setting our pups up to fail. Lisa gives each pup and family individual 1:1 time throughout the class to make sure every pup is on the road to success. In just 8 weeks Bobo and I have learned more than we ever thought we would. Lisa is a walking dog encyclopaedia who's passion and love for dogs really shows in the classes. Thank you Lisa!

Terrific experience with bringing Chilli along to the sessions. Loads of great tips that helped us set Chilli up. Thoroughly recommend Sit Happens for anyone with a new puppy. Nice people too.

We went to the group Sit Happens Puppy training classes with Adele, Adele was so great we have opted to do one-on-one training to assist with other areas we needed help with. Her wealth of knowledge and just little tips have helped so much. The follow up emails after each session are so informative and reiterates what we covered in our one-on-one session. Great value for money and the flexibility to meet at your home, their premise, or at a public park. Highly recommend. :)

We really enjoyed our puppy training with Adele. The classes are fun and relaxed. The follow up emails each week are great and there is an amazing wealth of knowledge in their Puppy FAQ. I highly recommend Sot Happens. (also it’s a great name!)

Absolutely loved it, very useful for our puppy who learned so much. Annie provided us great exercises that helped him overcome his emotions, good advice with our little problems. The weekly videos helped as well with very interesting tips. Thank you so much!

Puppy training with these guys is such a great experience! We took the Puppy Fun and Focus 8 week course with Katya as our trainer and we couldn't be more thrilled. She went above and beyond with us, often staying until late to help us with our 1001 questions about Willow (our beautiful, albeit slightly crazy border collie). We also attended their Puppy Socialization class several times and although our girl was not easy to deal with these guys knew what to do and made her SO much more confident and playful around other dogs. We couldn't be more grateful to the people at Sit Happens, our Willow is such a happier dog now and we couldn't have done it without them. Lisa and her team know their stuff and explain things in a way that's easy to understand. Highly recommended!

The classes were fantastic. We had both Lisa and Adele and both were amazing with consistent instruction and training. Question time at the start was invaluable, so many useful tips, hints and sharing with the class mates was brilliant.Tui graduated, which we were so happy about as she did struggle to concentrate in class, but she showed Adele some awesome skills on the last day. Thanks to our classmates as well.If you have a new puppy these classes are an absolute must, as humans don’t speak dog, and Sit Happens teaches some translation.

Adele is adored by Freddie, a pomeranian who is a highly strung wee boy. She has helped sort out his many issues. I found Adele supportive, positive, and readily available for help both in sessions and on email for instant help and feedback. We couldn't have progressed without her.
