It is conveniently located in town but is secluded so that you don't hear the noise of the city. There is friendly staff and nice cafe food. There is a good amount of seating but there is not much decorations.

This cafe is my favorite breakfast spot before work. The muffins and scones are huge delicious. The service is friendly and you feel like you're in grandma's kitchen.

I have gone here for breakfast through 3 changes of ownership. It used to be great but unfortunately it is no longer well run. This morning I sat at a dirty table for 15 minutes before I got my tea, then was served undercooked eggs on wet, cold and toast that was basically still bread. I was the only customer. I have been there with the latest owners a few times and the experience has been similar, so very little chance that it will improve. Shame.

Love this place. I was casually looking through to check out the menu and was welcomed to come in and have a look. This place has excellent home cooked styled food and I was given an endless cup of coffee and a newspaper.You can't get better atmosphere than home cooked food, newspaper, endless coffee and music that reminds me having breakfast with my grandpa (in a good way). Ditch the high-tech cafes of today and find yourself here in a comfortable place with comfortable food.

I was recently introduced to John's kitchen. Super friendly and welcoming. Cute, cosy spot tucked away down an alley. Fabulous big sausage rolls for only $2. But it's the service with a smile that will keep me coming back. :)

Wow.. what a great little place hidden away. They have the yummiest food, nice normal simple food and very tasty. They were so friendly it left an impact. I was about to leave to eat at work when I was asked... would I like to sit down? would I like to read the paper? and finally, would I like more coffee?Check it out... great place, great food, super friendly people.Thank you!

This is a great little place to grab lunch in the CBD. The staff are all really friendly and they make really delicious Filipino food
