Not a long section of rainbow and probably could do with some repairing here and there but still wonderful fun to ride.

The Rainbow Path
Look out for the Whau plant on the side of the Rainbow Path - often has spiky, brown seed pods and sometimes pretty, white flowers. Whau was once a dominant plant in the area (Maungawhau is Mt Eden). You are also passing the old Whau mental asylum on the left of this photo and you may be even able to see the Whau river to the west. Please be careful if you are walking on this section of the path though, especially at dusk and around the hours people are returning from work at speed on bikes - there is not a lot of room in places, especially on the downward side.

It is a shared path bikes walking running etc..it is painted rainbow colors on the path which is not that long..needs a paint overPopular pathway watchout when taling selfies like I did you could get run over lol.
