Tokerau Beach Motor Camp

Awesome campsite with a family vibe. Perfect location for the beautiful north.The grounds were clean and well maintained with great facilities.Thank you to all the staff for making it such a great spot.

Great relaxed atmosphere at the camp, very basic but has everything you need. Ablution block was very clean, so no complaints there. Highly recommend this campground to anyone.

Yes location is beach front. That's all that's going for it. The whole place was scruffy. No explanation about where anything was. Very dusty. Then there are the noisy quad and trail bikes which came in and out of the camp and on the beach incessantly. Operators had a couldn't care less attitude and it shows.

Decent camp ground. Got all the facilities needed and easy access to beach.

Not a great experience so must have picked a bad day as all other comments here are positive. Was not given a map of where facilities were and with a sprained ankle hobbled towards a complex which turned out to be flats. Then was unable to.find level ground despite many manoeuvres and broke stabilisers in the process. Asked what other sites were available to be told they were all level hhhmmm. Asked how to get to beach thinking there must surely be a path or dug out access way only to be told over the sand dunes. Again with sprained ankle there was a wooden fence in front of me so was i expected to climb it? I checked in and out again within half an hour and stayed somewhere with way more professionalism.

Great memories here, and many more to make in the coming years. Fav place in NZ, straight to the point, nice and relaxed 'Kiwi' camping as it should be.Spearfishing, and fishing 2 minutes away any direction.Awesome.

Beach is just over the dunes from the Campground! Love that long sandy beach!

What can I say other than a great place to visit. The amenities were great and not even stones throw from the beach. Brilliant

Absolutely love this camp. We have been coming here since we were kids and we always have a relaxing, fun time.
