Lovely outdoor area at the rear of the cafe to enjoy my coffee and slice in the sun, dog friendly which was a bonus. And not forgetting my a box of paua pies to take home. Highly recommended.

Stopped here on the way through to Te Araroa for a quick bite to eat.Oh my goodness … what a wonderful surprise!! Hands down the best pies we have EVER tasted!!!! Seriously worth driving out there for these pies. We had a pork belly and a vegetarian - both were amazing. Lovely lovely owners too.

Delicious pie... wish I had room to try all the flavours! Really nice to sit in the sun and wash it down with a cold brew from Gisbourne. Friendly staff, good food, cold beer, nice location all combined for an extremely pleasant pit stop.

Oh my! Awesome service, delicious food what more to ask for? Paua pies are just the best. I love going out for a drive out to Tokomaru to get me a scrumptious Paua pie and go sit down and watch out to the sea, hearing the beautiful noise.

Just had to try these famed paua pies. Absolutely delicious. Had a big Family presence with myself, but a small wait for extra pies were definitely worth it. The girls thoroughly enjoyed their passionfruit cheesecake too.

Honestly there's not enough good things to say about this fabulous unexpected cafe! Best coffee I have had for a long time, the pies were out of this world. Super friendly staff. Lots of quirky art pieces, great places to sit birth inside and out. Just amazing! I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

My son came from Perth the 2nd time within a year and he wasn't going home unless he had atleast 3 paua pies from shop 35 Tokumaru Bay...here he is scoffing down his 2nd one. Visited with his CCNZ good ole school mate Mark Paerata hard to beat he'll be back"

Stopped by here today by chance..we were on our motorbikes wet through from the rain and the staff were very welcoming...even offered to turn on the heater for us.Had a lovely flat white and a ginger flapjack type cake.Lovely all round..worth stopping by.
