Glenfern Villas

We stayed here for one night as a mid-way point during a longer drive. We happened to get one of the units on the road, so there was a fair amount of noise. The units themselves were simple, but clean. The staff was really friendly and genuinely nice. The DVD selection is a nice retro offering, especially considering the wifi was not working well at the time. You could walk to town, but it would be a fairly long walk, down the main highway, so plan to drive into town to get something to eat.

Modern, clean and comfortable accommodation with separate bedroom, perfect bathroom, kitchenette and big living room. Very helpful reception who can advise on area activities. Even a small animal park! All you want for a short or longer stay. About 10 minutes by car from Franz Josef, but restaurants will pick you up.

Excellent accommodation excellent service lovely vie of mountain really relaxing. Staying one more night . Make sure you visit a lot to do.

Amazing place to chill after a few busy day’s in New Zealand. It’s so close to the main Franz Josef area. It has all the kitchen facilities you need...we cooked on both nights we were there! Lovely big lounge area do great views of the mountains. Everything was efficient and sufficient. We used the laundry facilities onsite - $4 for the washing machine and $1 / 10 minutes for the dryer, which I thought was reasonable. They even provided a packet of washing powder each day too. Have a wonderful selection of movies and games which you can take back to you room to enjoy in this lovely space.

Stayed here 3 nights in a 2 bedroom villa. Very happy with it. Comfy beds, air con that worked, friendly staff.

Excellent motel accommodation with fabulous views. All you need for your stay. Well equipped kitchen and cooking facilities. Our room had great views over the mountains. Lovely staff.
