A wonderful truely special place that showcases local life as it was - very interesting to see and they had a fun treasure hunt for kids. It has a beautiful wee garden perfect for a picnic and there's also a little craft shop which has some talented crafts. Thank you for this experience!

Silverdale Pioneer Village
We enjoyed our visit to this charming place that showcases the history of the area and those that toiled the land. The stories of those families and individuals that made Silverdale. Bring a packed lunch and enjoy the garden's.Shame how the area surrounding has now become just another piece of concrete jungle of Auckland. Treasure the moments of yesterday as I doubt modern buildings will be seen with the same affection in years to come .

Once again we met the grandchildren and their parents to wander through this beautiful exhibit which contains some of my personal history and people on my through my last 63 years of living in the area. it's just lovely to visit a Memory Lane exhibition.

Silverdale Pioneer Village
A historic site with lovely garden. Thanks to the volunteers who look after it. It's not very big garden but it's a place to ponder about history, reality and future. This village has witnessed the explosive development in Silverdale in the last 10 years. I am so glad that we have a place like this for us to remember the past.

The volunteers who run this place are amazing everything is set out how it should be. Brings back memories because of some of the items they have on display. If you blink you will miss the entrance as I found but they have 2. Nestled in beside the main shopping street but hidden enough with lovely gardens

Silverdale Pioneer Village
From the road you could easily miss this unique historic village. Kept by a team of dedicated volunteers to a very micro detailed presentation. The landscapes and cottage styled gardens are a joy to look at. The site is larger than you would first envision.
