Worst customer service ever. As a customer this service was very poor, and extremely disappointing. As I bought a lehanga 3 weeks ago and alterations were promised within the price. The tailor firstly lost my measurements and made me come back to take measurements again. After 3 weeks as it was promised that my outfit would be ready, I still got no phone call and had to contact them myself. Then when arriving to the store my outfit wasn’t ready despite being told it was done. When calling them multiple times staff would lie that the tailor is not in today. After the tailor ruined my lehanga that I already paid for, which completely wasted my time. I was granted an immediate refund as you could clearly see she ruined my lehanga. When recommending alterations to customers, you should first of all be confident in the quality of the service. If not then you shouldn’t recommend to customers. Don’t provide false expectations to customers if you can’t provide them.

I went to buy a choker or necklace with my sister this other day and asked if we could see some, on it she did show some necklaces, and then we asked her if they have only a choker on its own not a whole set, she goes “ I showed you all of them now you don’t like it what can I do and she made this face with like being done with us but we took only 2 mins of her it wasn’t even busy at all only 3 of us was in the store, if we don’t see anything properly how we supposed to buy, ended up getting it from different store. We got served by this old lady.

Quite dissapointed with the service provided even after purchasing with them for years. The lady who is always there as a cashier came to assist us and wouldnt even let me view a dress as she said its no point viewing it as it wont fit my daughter, its for tall people like her and just walked away. I stood there speechless. Another lady walked to us after 10mins and assisted us. After selecting a dress it took us nearly 20 mins before we paid and came out of the place as we were not aware where the lady took the dress we were purchasing. Wouldn't even continue my purchase if it wasn't for the credit note. The reason for 3 stars as the man in the shop accepted our credit note despite being expired(my bad for not checking the note having 2 months expiry whwn receiving it and just took their verbal note of 1 year expiry) and we paid the difference.

EDIT: My third experience - Review 3Against my better judgement I walked into Akarshan early December 2019 I'm the search of a wedding suit. Having not found anything that fit they suggested that I place a custom order, this way I could choose the elements and the colours of the suit that I liked. My mother thought that this was a good idea and we went ahead with the order. I chose specific colours to match my partner's outfit. I requested a change of collar and cuff stylings. They said that they could not guarantee that the stylings could be made but they would try, but did say that my colour options would be included. Expected arrival early February. I left the store hopeful and excited.February comes around and I receive no updates regarding my custom purchase. I decide to call to check it has arrived. It took multiple calls to talk to someone who knew what was happening with my suit and even then they could not find it and indicated that they would get in touch. After not hearing from them I called again and managed to track down my order. It had arrived and was available to pick up after making an appointment.We arranged a date and time to meet. When I managed to see my custom suit and try it on I was not impressed. The red colour used in the suit was not what I wanted. They said not to worry and they could arrange for another suit to be made with the wedding a month away. I took a few days to decide on what I should do.Having made my decision I went in on 15/02/2020 to receive a refund on my order. When there, I was told that we could not be refunded on the card used for purchase (you would think that a company with two stores would have merchant cards for situations that required refunds but alas) and instead would have to receive a refund via bank transfer (which would take ten minutes and would send a confirmation having done so). Since we were in the area we decided check back in with the store as we had yet to receive any confirmation of a transfer. When we walked in and asked, the manager then started to make the transfer.Over three seperate occassions I have had bad experiences with this retail store. Just a warning to all to exercise caution if you intend to or have to purchase from this store. Don't get burnes like I did so close to my wedding.Review 1 and 2Always seem to be out of stock. Went in with my partner on two occasions, one to look at wedding cards and the other on a sale. In the first instance they said they had the stock on hand for wedding cards that my partner liked. On the day she went to pick up they said it was sold.On the second occasion my partner received a text message regarding an upcoming Diwali sale. When opening the link she saw some great specials (including $10 silk saris). We went in store on the first day of the sale and she was told that they were already sold out (approximately 1.5 hours of the store opening on the first day of the sale). We were then approached by someone who seemed to be the manager and was told that the stock was in van ready for a stall sale at a different location. Two different stories from staff. We recommend not wasting your time visiting the store as you will most likely get the run around.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICEI went to buy clothes for Eid a few days ago, and was convinced to buy two pairs because they offered to provide size alterations and latkans free of charge.Paid for everything, came back to pick up the clothes today, and nothing had been done. The sales assistant kept pushing that there was no need for latkan even after promising to put them on. Boss came in, so I told him what had happened and he got visibly upset, offered no remedies but told me to get a refund. I paid in cash but they refused to give me cash back, so they refunded by eftpos.Happy that I can have my money back because I will never support a business that doesn't deliver on their promises after taking payment. Went to Roop Darshan instead, better service, better quality and better price.EDIT: There was no threatening or violence - at least you are consistent at lying. Check your own reviews and see who sounds more credible.

Never shopping here again. Ruined my outfit, when promised alterations are provided within the price. Absolutely pathetic. False promises were made by staff but not met. When picking up my outfit after I made several phone calls regrading if my outfit was ready or not. When I went to pick up my outfit which wasn't ready even when they told me that was my pickup date. When I saw my lehanga it was totally messed up and looked unfixable. When I called the boss, he knew himself that my lehanga was all ruined. I was offered a refund and it seems like it's a reoccurring thing in this store. Never shopping here again. Don't get your outfits tailored here.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!I would not recommend this place to anyone. We had purchased a lehenga and only realised it was damaged once we got home. We called the store the next day and they said we could bring it back in. When we had purchased the lehenga they told us it was a one off piece and that was a major factor that influenced our purchase. Mind you, this lehenga was $440, a price we were willing to pay for a lehenga that was a one off piece. However, when we returned to the store, they wanted to replace our lehenga for the same one. They lied to us and charged us a premium price for something that was not even a one off piece.Furthermore, the company do not offer refunds for products that are damaged. They only do exchanges, this too is only available in weekdays. We travelled from quite far and was told they weren’t able to assist us on a Sunday because they had “staff shortages.” When we walked into the store, we were greeted and offered help, however, their attitude changed once we told them we came in for an exchange and we were told to essentially come back at a time they weren’t making ‘new sales’. These companies love to exploit their customers and I highly recommend you all to not support businesses that do this. Companies like this must be held accountable for their unethical business practices. There are better companies out there that don’t lie to you, don’t sell you damaged products and have much better customer service. I encourage you all to take your money elsewhere and not support this business.

Not even worth 1 star….went to have a look at bridal bangles salesperson did not take it out of the pack to show it and said he can’t open it. Firstly how m I suppose to know how it looks like on my hand and secondly how n I going to measure the size. I can’t be spending money on something that I haven’t even tried on. Looking at all the reviews with 1 star justifies a-lot about this place. Some staff needs to learn what is customer service. And on top of everything please don’t be pushy…I especially don’t like it when someone is pushy I need my time to have a look around and make a decision after all it’s my money and I chose where to spend it.
