The whole experience was extremely simple and stress free, with the team at Heli Weddings NZ organising everything to perfection.The day was everything that we had hoped for and more, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anybody else looking for a fun, memorable wedding experience.Thanks to everybody who was involved in our day!

I couldn't recommend this company more! If you want your wedding day to be the best day of your lives, book with heli weddings NZ.Our day didn't go as expected due to weather but we got a beautiful ceremony, garden and lake photos with our family, beach photos with the two of us which was an extra proposed by our photographer, we also got our 3 landings as originally booked, additional flowers and transport, and we got a refund for some unused helicopters. More details below:We are an Aussie couple that had to put our big day off multiple times due to COVID and travel restrictions. Laura and Meagan were so accommodating with all the changes.Unfortunately the weather wasn't so great on our wedding weekend (Fri and Sat) and so Laura worked tirelessly after hours organising an alternative for us. Although the wind conditions meant that we had to do a ground wedding, it was stunning! They found us the best location, our family and friends (party of 17) were taken care of, we got transportation, and it actually ended up being a better day than we could ever have imagined. Meagan (our photographer) was so awesome! Our group loved her and she was so professional! She had us feeling so relaxed on the car ride and whilst getting ready. I would highly recommend booking extra photography time with her while you get ready as she is so fun and had our whole group really relaxed. She also knows everything you can know about NZ and lord of the rings locations!We also had our heli experience moved to the Sunday! It was sooooo exciting! I still can't believe that we got our 3 landings as orinigally booked, as well as the ceremony and photos on the friday! We were flexible with our landings and Meagan and pilot Ben took us to their favourite locations. I am motion sick but found the heli ride super smooth! We got time to relax and take in the magical surroundings, to see and play in the snow despite it being a Jan wedding, have photos on some terrifying cliffs 1.5kms high, get in a lake, and we got multliple glasses of champagne as our group were having such an amazing time! Ben even stayed back late for us so we could jump in a lake in our wedding attire :PI can probably go on about all the wonderful things Laura and Megan did for us, however, I think you get the gist. We wanted a stress-free and magical day, and I left feeling happier than have ever felt. Thank you to heli weddings!

From the first email in looking into having an elopement wedding to the final thank you email, my now husband and I were blessed with such an exceptional service. The coordination, makeup, flowers, ceremony and taking of photos made our day very magical and special. Everything went so smoothly and we had an absolutely stellar wedding day! My partner and I were unsure on what type of wedding we wanted. We were driving home one day and thought about eloping and googled eloping packages. Heliweddings was one of the top rated sites so we looked into it and fell in love immediately! We had our first year anniversary in NZ and thought it was the perfect place to tie the knot. From the first email we knew we had made the right choice. Laura and the rest of the team were absolutely AMAZING! They had everything sorted and it was definitely a stress free wedding. The only hiccup we had was the weather as it was forecast rain. Lauren contacted us the day prior to make some arrangements to which we just pushed it back a day which the weather turned out to be perfect and there was snow on the mountains which made it even better. Megan and Robyn were an absolute hoot and made the day so much more enjoyable. We can't forget to mention our beautiful celebrant Phillipa who helped us with the marriage certificate and made our ceremony just more meaningful and very us! Overall if you're looking for a fun, unique and stress free wedding, please hit these guys up. You won't regret it!

Laura and the team made our wedding day so effortless and amazing! Cannot recommend the team at Heli Weddings more!! The whole process from start to finish was so simple, don’t think we even had to stress once! We still can’t believe our luck with the weather and the upgrade to the new helicopter! My now husband and I, as well as both our parents will cherish these memories forever! Also HUGE thank you to my make up artist, she was so friendly and lovely! All the wedding nerves disappeared in an instant! And another HUGE thank you to Meagan!! Heli weddings was exactly what we were after for our big day, we could not have asked for a day that was better prepared, everything ran so smoothly, the team at Heli are amazing. We would like to specially thank our photographer who made us feel at ease and looked after us so well through out the day. All the details were so well thought out right down to hair, makeup and flowers.The team were so accommodating to our requests and nothing was an issue.It was the perfect day.Rach

Nightmare experience! I strongly advise against hiring Heli Weddings as your wedding planner. Laura, the owner, proved to be dishonest and unprofessional, leaving us deeply disappointed.Here's what happened:During our helicopter elopement, we encountered a massive cloud covering our chosen mountain location. Laura failed to prepare us for this possibility, leaving us devastated and scrambling for an alternative mid-flight.In a rush, the photographer and pilot revealed that we were charged by flight time, adding pressure to hastily choose a new location. We settled for a spot near the airport...the cheapest landing location. The harsh midday lighting ruined many of our photos with unflattering shadows...seems to be the norm for Heli Weddings when I took a closer look at their gallery.To add insult to injury, when we asked for a refund due to the significantly cheaper alternative location (and some pre-paid unused services), Laura insisted that the helicopter bill was somehow higher, coincidentally perfectly matching the refund amount. She adamantly refused to show us the new bill, claiming no obligation to provide vendor receipts, allowing her to charge us as she pleased.The most infuriating aspect was Laura's refusal to acknowledge any wrongdoing or lack of preparation on her part as the wedding planner. Instead, she audaciously attempted to shift the blame onto me for the mysterious price increase. Her reasoning? I had requested the pilot to find a location with a similar view to our original choice.It is absolutely absurd to hold me responsible for her failure to properly inform us about potential challenges and for the subsequent increase in costsOnly after directly contacting the helicopter company did Laura reach out to offer a partial refund for the unused landing permit. However, we are still waiting for it and we still haven't seen the final helicopter bill. Laura's communication became sporadic and unprofessional, leaving us feeling ignored and frustrated.Save yourself from the disappointment we experienced. Avoid Heli Weddings in Queenstown. Other wedding planners can provide a transparent and professional experience, ensuring your special day is truly memorable for all the right reasons****IMPORTANT UPDATE****:In response to our honest review, Heli Weddings has attacked our character, threatened us with fabricated expenses unless we remove the review, retaliated by posting false reviews for our personal business, and distorted the details of our interactions. Laura and Fredrick from Heli Weddings have shown themselves to be highly unprofessional, but their actions do not intimidate us.The money they owe us and the baseless charges they are threatening are irrelevant at this point.
