Gorgeous farm cafe. We had coffee (good), pineapple cake (yum) and a VERY good cheese scone. We will definitely revisit now that we know where this great little cafe is. Sells local meat - Black Pond Farms, preserves and some fresh vegetables and fruit. Really great place and in an area that makes for a wonderful (Sunday) drive :)

Lovely little cafe that was a great meeting point for catching up with friends from further south. Friendly service. They had a fresh soup and the rest was only cabinet food though.

A quaint cafe amongst the rolling farmlands and on the way to the Shorebird centre. There was a selection of scones, pies, and cakes, plus a selection of coffee to go with it. The accompanying scenery made the experience that much more serene.

I had driven past the previous weekend, so decided to stop in on our way to Miranda. What a quirky cafe, the food was delicious and the staff were lovely (as a side note, I loved the quirkier toilet out back). Will definitely be going back there soon... They also have a variety of goods for sale, I loved the paintings...

1/2 strength coffee needs to go in bigger cups than an espresso cup. So coffee way to strong and in two swallow it was gone if I could have drunken it. Great food and service

Exceptional coffee, especially when it's paired with the totally decadent chocolate brownie slice. Favourite place to make a coffee stop on the way through to Auckland.PS If you're not a coffee drinker the Cinnamon Spiced tea is pretty special as well.
