A really nice flat free campsite that you can take your dog to. Also beautiful walks near it.(blue lake) there is also the St Bathans village near it.

Nice spacious camping spot, quiet and remote. 15 min walk to the blue lake track which has nice swimming spots and walking tracks around the lake. Only downside is the long drop is cramped and not very modern. Non potable water is available on tap too

Fantastic spot. The hospitality at the pub was a little lacking and sad to see almost all the historic buildings are locked up now.

One of the historical places in Central Otago. It is a worth visit if you are fan of old places. You can see some historic buildings like post office, gold mine office and the Vulcan hotel. Blue lake and surroundings are quite different. We were told that, this is one of a haunted place that has long story beholding!

Very basic campsite. Got one toilet and a tap (need to boil the water before drinking) Really big space so plenty for everyone. In middle of nowhere but I think it's absolutely an awesome place. It's quiet, you are surrounded by small mountains. There is a track starting from the campsite to the blue lake ( about 15min). And then you can do the loop around the lake

We are not sure we found this. St Bathans is a lovely town with beautiful historic buildings. See some skilful stonework. Well worth a visit

Had a peaceful night in the domain which has easy access. Enjoyed lovely food at the Vulcan Hotel and a walk around the Blue Lake. A great place to visit.
