This gorgeous wee cafe is a must on a roadie - excellent coffee and best tasty breakfast. This cutie is just off state highway 1 and has a totally different vibe to the shopping side of town. If you want the best of kiwi hospitality - here’s your home away from home. Chef checked I enjoyed it and was chuffed when I told her how brilliant it was - gorgeous!

AMAZING cafe! One of the best meals I had travelling through New Zealand. I had the maple roast tomatoes with ricotta on sourdough for breakfast. It was so good I came back for lunch on the same day for a delicious mushroom filo pastry with horseradish cream and a slice of their ginger loaf - delicious! The staff were also so friendly.

Stopped here on a whim for coffee and breakfast. By far the best coffee we've had as two Melbournites visiting gorgeous NZ! Staff were friendly. We ordered a vege fritatta and chicken and leek pie, both were full of flavour. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed the breakfast here thou it was slightly pricey - but it is a family run shop and the owner is really friendly with the locals. Hubby liked his coffee as well

A cute cafe which is tucked away in Turangi and is out the back of a tackle house trout fishing shop. Plenty of seating outside in the summer, in the winter it has very limited seating. The indoor area is tiny but quaint, the food is generously served and delicious, the menu variety is not extensive, however they have nice cabinet food available. Not a place to visit with a large group, expecially in the winter as youay not get a seat.

Their coffee was really really good, as so were the almond croissant, bacon and egg croissant and the salmon bagel. Highly recommended!

Stopped here for breakfast. Good food and coffee options. Friendly staff. Lots of getting to know one another and visit with other customers since this is a smaller, but popular eating spot in the area.

I drive from Wellington to Auckland a fair bit and always stop here for coffee and food. Have been going here for a few years and while the food is always good the coffee for me personally has been a bit hit or miss lately. Last time it tasted a bit over extracted and the oat milk was fairly foamy in my flat white. In addition I got a date scone which wasn’t very nice. But each other time the cabinet food has been great. Still a nice wee spot for leg stretching on a long drive.
