The response to a death in my family was quick, efficient and the cost was very reasonable. Everything was dealt with exactly as we wished. Clearly I would recommend Simple Direct Funerals to anyone who doesn't wish for an elaborate expensive funeral.

All done with compassion, communication and caring for the grief and unfamiliar circumstances we found ourselves in. Simple Direct Funerals
We would highly recommend Owen at Simply Direct Funerals. His love and care during this sad time for the family was greatly appreciated. His sense of humour at the appropriate times lightened the mood and made a difficult situation more bearable. Nothing was too hard including driving to Christchurch to bring Dad back to Nelson. His attention to detail was also appreciated from recommending a nice urn to supplying pens to write on the coffin was great. He has good communication with us and kept us informed throughout. I knew Owen in his previous work before he started doing Simple Direct Funerals he has always been a thoughtful and kind man.As a family who are no frills and prefer a more simple type of funeral/ final good-bye, we chose Owen to be part of this stage in life, knowing he helped other families we know. Owen was both professional and compassionate in dealing with my Dad's funeral arrangements. Everything he said was delivered as promised and he was proactive in his communication to keep us informed. A few days after it was over Mum and I met him by chance in the street and he gave Mum a big hug and again went well above the normal standard of care. Thoroughly recommended.
