Te Unga Waka Mare is located just on the outskirts of Epsom and close to Aucklands newest shopping Mall here in Newmarket. Te Unga Waka Marae has easy access from the main Auckland motorways and is a great space for the weary travellers that come from all directions of Aotearoa. Te Unga Waka is one of the least expensive urban Marae that takes bookings for day and longer stay visitors.The iconic Marae is 50 plus years in action and remains strong. The historical value of this place is well known to the many Maori whanau who started this wonderful Marae.Te Unga Waka Marae celebrates Catholic Mass every Sunday at 11am in both English and Te Reo Maori. A light lucheon follows after Mass.Te Unga Waka Marae has re-opened since being closed under the Red Light Traffic system. Aucklands move to the Orange safe Covid system means that the Marae is now open with masks and good hand hygiene practices in place for Church and to keep everyone as safe as possible.Nau Mai Haere Mai come over for a visit. Fantastic venue! Clean, spacious, fully functional kitchen, very well maintained. Highly recommended for events, family gatherings and for sleepovers! Air conditioned and heat pumps are excellent during winter! A+++

Reasonably priced accommodation for larger groups.Plenty of space and parking. Good location in Epsom.

This is also Catholic church which has mass conducted mainly in Te Reo. (Moari). Nice congregation. All welcome of course.
