Wanaka Bike Tours

We hired an e-bike and regular bike to take on the Lake Dunstan cycle track, and it was easy to do with Wānaka Bike Tours. We had a pick-up from Wānaka that was easy, and we were dropped off in Clyde, and picked up in Cromwell at the end of the ride. Our driver (Dan? I’m blanking on his name) was helpful and informative during our drive, and he even made a pit stop for fruit ice cream on the return trip. The bikes were great, and the e-bike was easy to use. Would highly recommend a tour of Lake Dunstan via bike again using Wānaka Bike Tours.

We had such a great time! Easy pick up in downtown Wanaka and got some tips on our way up to Lake Hāwea. Rollins was an excellent guide! We had the regular mountain bikes and the trail was not a problem for us. Highly recommend and great service!

I did a tour around lake Dunstan with these guys. The tour included shuttle from Wanaka and back.There 2 options: a regular bike and an e-bike. I booked a regular one. Though it was quite difficult to pedal on the way up (I ended up pushing my bike many times) and some of the slopes were quite steep, I don't regret it. It was a nice and interesting adventure and quite a good fitness challenge. So if you are not sure about this, it's better to book the e-bike.The views were stunning and there is a cool winery almost at the end of the track, if you're riding from Clyde.I accidentally diverted from the track (silly me!) and ended up being half an hour late. But Jayden was nice and kind to wait for me =]Overall it was a great experience! If you're staying in Wanaka, this is a must do!

We went on the Rob Roy Glacier hike with transfer both ways. The final confirmation of our trip came a bit late, but other than that everything went smoothly. Our driver was very nice, professional and accomodating. The hike itself was really enjoyable with stunning views at the end. The glacier seemed to be so close!

Very well organised and lots of fun. Dean, our guide, was great with local information and helping set up the bikes (the patisserie, Pembroke in Albert Town was great). The trail is long and unsealed almost all the way. There are sections no wider than 1m on the edge of and near the river bank. If you've never ridden a bike off road before or for only short distances, this may not be a good choice. However, if you do decide to take up the challenge, it is a fun and exhilarating experience that is well worth the money.

Would recommend the Lake Hawea River Trail. Comes with shuttle to Lake Hawea and the bike rental. Was a beautiful trail with some challenging sections if you are new to mountain biking, but nothing that it isn’t managable or you can always hop off the bike.

We cycled as an extended family of 6 on the Hawea to Wanaka River Trail. We all thoroughly enjoyed our ride. Our driver Stewart was amazing!! He made sure we knew all the best places to eat and made sure we were confident with our route back to town.... and explained everything we needed to go. I highly recommend Wanaka Bike Tours and would definitely use them again. X

Our experience with Wanaka Bike Tours is beyond reproach. We were picked up at the scheduled times. The driver and his assistant were very kind and helpful. The cycling track at Dunstan Lake is the most beautiful we have done. The track and the landscape are exceptional. I highly recommend this Tours.
