Whiskerz Barber & Son - Established 30 years

Been a regular for a while now and forgot to review. Fantastic service everytime, always a great yarn too. Consistent great cuts. Strongly recommended.

It's not bad, but the owner really needs to take a haircut from his employees every once in a while.First off I have to say, great decor and really friendly people! No other barber has anything near as interesting on its walls as this one. Worth going just to look around.Problem is currently I believe it's his son working there who gives an alright haircut, but then gives you the most limp-wristed brushing afterward. Literally every time I get him he barely touches me with the brush to clean up and I have heaps of bits of hair plastered all over me and coming out of my ears for the rest of the day. He's always been doing that and i can't go anymore without having to be able to shower right afterward.In the past he had old John working there who was a super nice guy, but his haircuts were slipping from ok to terrible over a year - like burns completely different lengths, messed up blends etc and it appeared noone was noticing.I've come and gone from this place over the years just to avoid certain people so they don't potentially give me a sub-par service.I may still go here, but as a heads up to the owner; a little quality control is probably worth doing every now and then just to check people are in fact 100% happy with their cuts.

I have been seeing Terry and the team for many years, amazing crew always want to please. I just can’t believe the negative review I have just read, obviously because they didn’t like the position the business has to take on vaccination by law. Get over yourself.Keep up the the great work Terry and Jos.

Stopped for a trim. Nice set up with an eclectic collection of bits and bobs adorning the walls and surfaces.It was very reasonably priced with a short wait, considering aiwas a walk in.

Very sharp with a pair of scissors and a great conversationalist. Awesome manly decor too. A hidden gem of a barbershop.

Would highly recommend Whiskers Men's Hairdressers in Howick. Such a cool barber shop with awesome collectors trinkets and friendly, experienced staff. The barber was such a sport with my little guy who was nervous but left with a big smile and a great cut ✂️

I have been coming here for many years, for three very powerful reasons: 1 It is always an atmosphere of fun and frivolity. 2 My haircut is always exactly as I had hoped it would be. 3 Despite their professionalism and care, this team does not ever overcharge, and is more cost-effective than all the others. I have enjoyed every single visit for a long time now. Even in these Pandemic times, their safety care is first-class! They give me an enhanced 'handsomeness' after each haircut... which is a blessing, n'cest pas? Thanks Team. :o)
