Both taxi drivers I got were awesome. The receptionist wasn’t very nice and sometimes they just don’t pick up and are unable to tell you a wait time.

Walked to the airport, thanks to Nelson City Taxis! Two stars so I don't get filtered out; we scheduled a taxi hours in advance, and when it was 15 minutes late we called. No, it wasn't on the way... no, they couldn't even tell us when we could expect it (!)... and NO APOLOGY which I thought was pretty wild, just ok

Have increased stars by one, and 1 only. The auto response is terrible to say the least, your saving grace is your phone operator's who seem to understand our frustration. Overall difficulty to connect to request has ended with a different provider.

All operaters and drivers are nice. But i had bad experiences(2 times) for late pickup. Heading the airport. I arrived there almost on time, it means almost missed my flight. Dont recomment pickup booking in the early morning(before 6am..) but average rate.. good

Absolutely terrible taxi company. We got a taxi last night (which is a miracle itself with these guys) and the guy could barley speak English. He also had no idea where he was going and we had to direct him every step of the way. Then he charges us TWICE what an Uber would cost… terrible. And they have a monopoly here in Nelson so the other choice is to drive home over the limit!

Recently booked a Nelson taxi to go to the airport. It did not arrive at booked time. I rang three times asking where my taxi was. On one of the calls I was put through to enquiries - there was no answer. My wonderful neighbour dropped me at the airport instead. The cab turned up at my house 15minutes before checked baggage closed. On previous occasions they’ve been on time - which is why they get two stars. Not very reliable in this instance.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Tried to book a taxi multiple times.. waited over an hour on one occasion. Booked in advance for a wedding but they made no guarantee that the taxi would be there at the pick up time and said it depended on how many bookings there were at the time (what is the point in making a booking in advance then??) The call centre staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. Do not book with this business.

Today we almost missed the flight as the taxi we prebooked never arrived. When we called they suggested we find our own transport there, but how at 6.30am?! I had to run to my work building in the city centre to use a work car, madness.

Flew into Nelson at 6pm on 3 Feb 2023. Caught cab to Grand Arden Monaco hotel just down the road. The fare cost $47.00 dollars for a 10 minute ride. Talked to another taxi company who said we were over charged. The fair on Grab a Cab back from the hotel to the airport on 6 Feb only cost $18.00.which confirmed my suspicions of being ripped off. Don't trust Nelson taxis driver whose main job is selling vacum cleaners at a big domestic appliance store. He come across as a nice guy but is a thief

Nelson City Taxi is not a reliable taxi service. The amount of times I’ve waited for my ride and just not good enough service. When I was speaking to this lady on the phone, she was so ignorant and then hung up on me in the middle of my conversation in regards to the address I’m giving. I’m all for Sun City Taxi, much more reliable even during busy hours.
