The Terrace, Franz Josef

We got the motel room located in the corner that had excellent views of the snow laden mountain from both inside and outside room. It was spacious room for a family of 3, with 1 double bed and a single bed right by the window. The room was good size with a decent size kitchen, and very well warmed with the electric fire place. There were few issues due to which I do not give a full star rating:1. Bathroom shower was very poor, no pressure in water and it had either very hot or cool water coming out2. The laundry was paid and located at quite a walk with no soap in the unit. One had to come to reception to buy soap which I found very inconvenient. There was no baskets or bags at the laundry room either to help carry the clothes to a distance.3. Internet was very sketchy, don’t know if that was an issue with this particular hotel or is a problem in all hotelsA comfortable and relaxing stay otherwise.

Amazing location, walkable distance to the street outside where the supermarket and cafes/pubs are all at. If you are staying at the motel, you get discount at the Alice May Restaurant next door. Parking was just right beside. Rooms were big and well equipped should you wish to cook. Only problem I had was that the room came with a funny smell, likely due to previous stayers who probably cooked some strong-smelling food in it.

Very clean and comfortable, with quiet bedrooms. Well equipped little kitchen, everything felt nice and new. Lovely spot with views of mountains and just a two minute walk to the shops and restaurants. Managers were lovely and gave great advice about travelling the area.

I had 4 nights here and was very happy with my stay. The unit was very clean and tidy, and location is excellent - far enough away from the main road to be quiet, but a walkable distance to all main shops and bars/restaurant. Also, the owner Alan is very friendly, obliging and knowledgeable of the area. I'll be back.

A wonderful 6 night stay in room 17. The room was fantastic. Comfortable bed, extremely clean, great bathroom and kitchen area. The staff were lovely and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. The Terrace is close to everything, restaurants and shops . The view of the mountains from our room was magnificent.

Great value for money. Very clean rooms with plenty of space and the bathrooms seemed like they had been recently renovated so were very good.The rooms were just a little dark which is my only small complaint. But we enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable stay in the 2 bedroom apartment. Modern and well maintained. Close walking distance to everywhere in town.

We rented a campervan and the van’s battery died on us. Becoz of this, we decided to look for a place to stay in.There’s no regrets at all coz this place is super awesome to stay in! The whole place is so mordern and clean. It’s so well maintained that we feel like it’s our home.The owner - Allan is such a wonderful guy. We had a great catch up with him and he make sure that we feel comfortable in his premises.

Nice and decent place to stay. Supermarkets and restaurants close by. Good parking space too and friendly hotel people.
