Rang up to confirm the models I wanted to try on were in stock, drove 30km to the store, disappointed to find the majority of them were not actually in stock.Ordered a pair in from the Wellington branch, three weeks later still hadn't arrived (apparently courier lost it). Another pair was ordered in and I was promised the sale price would be honoured even though the sale had ended due to the long wait.Once I finally picked them up I was charged full price since apparently discounts can't be made on products being processed under an insurance claim. I had communicated right from the start this was being done under insurance and I can't see anywhere in terms and conditions that this is the case. It's certainly never been the case in my experience with claims before.Sent an email to complain about this, asking for the difference back in a gift card; customer service didn't respond within the promised 9 working days and eventually called me after a month saying they couldn't give me a gift card. Clearly customer satisfaction and their promises to them mean nothing. If the value was larger I would consider going to disputes tribunal.Terrible experience start to finish and astoundingly bad service. Definitely won't be going back and they are lucky they were my only choice under insurance otherwise I would have gone anywhere else in a heartbeat.

Very friendly staff, setup was really good for how small the store is. My husband and i were both looked after very well. We both love with our choice of glasses.

The shop assistant was really helpful. I had particular needs in terms of my eyes and she was really good at picking out some options for me. I love my new sunglasses!

Found PS 51VS in store at $526 - online far cheaper at 3 competing stores - Sunglass Hutt were unwilling to price match. Little uncomfortable experience when attendant looked to ask fellow strangers in store what they thought of glasses I was trying on. Regardless of price being more expensive by some $146; being without sunglasses currently decided to go ahead. Saw a scratch on left lens, asked if could get a discount noting defect on expensive PRADA - declined. Terrible experience, bad business mentality. If you’re selling expensive gear - make the bottom line work for customer and business

Excellent service, highly professional staff who helped me select a new pair of sunglasses, and replaced a missing frame screw in my old pair with no charge other than to invite me to donate an amount of my choice to the store charity, which I was more than happy to do

I have attended this store 2 times over the past year as i live out of the region, i have always been given the best service from acknowledgement with a smile, to choosing a pair of sunglasses, thank you

Seriously to the young fella at the shop With earpiece : if you’re not happy or doesn’t like to deal with people please do us a favour and find another job but don’t be rude to your customers and it’s not hard to keep smile on face or be polite. …. I was a big fan of SUNGLASSES HUT but very disappointed to visit this store. Literally zero efforts or interest in selling anything.Visited on 9 October
