Looksmart Alterations

1 meter by 1 meter curtains and they made them different lengths! Then they got it wrong again. Can’t believe I paid $90 for this service, avoid at all costs

Did an alright job with my pants alteration with fast turnaround time, however, the customer service needs massive improvement.I don't know why, but when I went there to have my pants shortened, the (young and blonde) staff member just would not look at me when speaking to me. She kept looking directly at my partner for no reason when asking questions and taking down my information, even though I'm clearly the customer with the piece of clothing and the information she needed. It was a very bizarre and unpleasant experience that made both myself and my partner really uncomfortable.

Very poor service! Would never go back there! Went in to get the hem on a dress brought up a little but the assistant was one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with in a customer service setting! Once I had the dress measured and pinned I was told it would take 4 days to have it done and I paid $72 to have it taken up, which is a long time and a lot of money for a simple hem job! But so be it I needed it sorted! then about 30 seconds later found out my partners mother could take it up for me that night for free! So I requested a cancellation and refund. This is when I was told that they do not issue refunds through eftpos and I would need to hand over my bank account details and the money would be in my account in a weeks time!!! And what’s more when I asked for a receipt to confirm that the money would be reversed I was refused! So now I just have to wait and pray they pay me back! Very poor service and poor form for a shop in a big shopping mall not to have a refund card to reverse the transaction! Staff were very rude and service very poor! Will never go back there and would strongly warn anyone against going to look smart alterations!!

WAAAY over priced and does not honour original deal! The ridiculous “difficult” add is an insult! This is your job, get better skilled if you’re finding it too difficult or get another job. Never going back again, constantly getting ripped off and over priced with terrible ethics! Not happy.

Actually, I would like to rate them 5 stars as they provide quite a nice service. However, I am a little bit disappointed. It was my first time for the alteration service in New Zealand so I don't really know that they charge the express fee. Even though I prefer to pick up at the certain time, they should communicate clearly that they will charge an extra. I was not in hurry and if I knew about that I would not pick up early.

I worked there, so I'm biased, but they're great, they can take your trousers up in an hour, and do a really nice job of it. It is a little expensive at times but you'll always get the best solution for your problems. Plus the work they do is really gorgeous, there is nothing more satisfying than a well pressed freshly done hem at the right legnth.Edit: I no longer stand by the previous positive review I made. Management there is overall not great. And the hems aren’t finished well so they tend to come apart. They will also up charge you if you go to higher end, or more popular branch, without telling you.

Had 3 pairs of pants all taken up at the same time but wasn't taken up far enough. But getting this redone for free under their 4 week guarantee policy. Great service.(Original measurement issue was probably shared fault between me and the measuring person, misunderstanding/lack of clarity around how short I was wanting them)

Jocelyn was wonderful. I had originally gone to the store at The Palms, but unfortunately they were closed. I called the Riccarton store to enquire about their 1 hour pants shortening, as I needed to get a pair done urgently. Jocelyn confirmed over the phone that it was something they were able to do, but that it would be extra which was a-ok with me.I took my pants in and Jocelyn was so friendly and helpful. I chose the one hour shortening and then wandered around the mall for a little bit, just looking around. Maybe 35 minutes later I received a text message to inform me that they were complete and ready to collect.Such fantastic service :)

I took my trousers to Riccarton Westfield to mend after a subpar repair job in another alteration store. Riccarton were friendly very quick and the lady I dealt with was polite and had a lot of empathy. Much appreciated. I would highly recommend this alteration shop. Well done.

Husband went here to have suit altered prior to our wedding. He had pants hemmed as were too long, great work done on this. Picked slower option so took three days which was not an issue for us. Ideally would have preferred to receive a notification when job was finished. Husband would have also preferred more guidance on what changes would have been suitable as he felt unsure. Overall service was fine and job was completed well.
