A room in a traditional Kiwi pub, in a traditional rural Kiwi town. Clean, comfortable, free parking, free WiFi, friendly staff. Kitchen facilities available if you want, budget and enhanced accommodation options.

The room was small and pokey I felt costa phobic. The red carpet in the hallway gave me the spooks cleaners only came once a week paint peeling off the ceiling and I noticed is a little bit of asbestos which is quite illegal. Also the guys living up there I was in room 15 They all sound like a herd of elephants walking around especially the one that walked around with gumboots on. Also I want to point out when there had been a Covid scare up there they need to clean and sanitise the rooms themselves I’m talking about the cleaners the cleaners need to be up there sanitising the hallways every day not once a week

Kind Staff Lady.Rooms with and the bathrooms (if you get a bathroom in your room) are very tiny,but For value I suppose quite good.Could be a bit better,but it's understandable for it's price.Other than that not too noisy,free WiFi,chilled place but building needs revamping

Would stay here again - excellent location in centre of town with cafes, shops,etc short walking distance.Friendly helpful staff.Awesome pool table.Karaoke every second Friday - tip we slept through it in Rooms 3 & 4.A classic gem of an old style kiwi pub - tired and in need of a good spruce up but adequate as is.

When arrived the first thing we noticed was the smell, it smelt terrible. I’m 18 staying with two 17 year olds and it was booked under my name but they didn’t allow us in as one of the 17 year olds didn’t have ID nor would they give us a refund as nothing about other guest must have ID was stated. We looked in the bedroom we were supposed to stay in and the toilet bowl hadn’t been cleaned (had skids in it) and there was no soap.

Nice location and good customer service. Free wi-fi, electric heaters, kettle, fridge and parking available. The rooms were a bit smelly due to non air circulation. Overall a good place for a small family.
