Japan Mart Lower Hutt

A new asian supermarket grocery shop. We signed up for membership to shop in store. Lots of items for sale from noodles to sweets as well as frozen foods, drinks and items like face masks and beauty products.

Beware - check the expiry date. I purchased a soup / broth product today without studying the expiry details on the label. Got home and noted the expiry was five days ago. So - whilst the store is clean and well stocked with a huge range of product - the fact that the business is marketing expired stock really annoys me. Especially since they only opened the doors in the last four weeks. Do you suspect they have transferred down all the old stock from their Auckland shops ? Definitely not good enough.

I like this place I heard about it first through a family member and second through a tic tok video which informed me about their amazing skin care products my skin is super dry always has been I’ve recently ran out of my daily skin tone I wanted to try something new and wow wow this toner I bought from here is phenomenal my face is so plump bright and moist ive notice even my pores have gotten smaller from using it a little over 1 week its consistency is out of this world I’ve never seen a toner that is rich and thick in texture, and there is a great variety to choose from i wouldn’t have thought of buying skin care from this place EVER IN MY LIFE if I hadn’t have heard from it on Tik tok, if you have a hard time trying to figure out what is best for you speak to the staff they are just so welcoming I’m unsure of the lady who helped me out but she knew each product back to back, I’m blown away by this toner, I did of research on the product I’d bought, it’s N1 selling skin care product in Japan it’s shown best results for acne/face scaring, hydrates the skin, brightens and plumps just amazingPRODUCT- melano CC toner sittori (yellow bottle)

Brand new, decent range, and genuinely good prices.

This seems to be a new place. And WOW - what a nice one.Everything you look for in a Japan Mart. Great food and lots of variety. Also non food like cosmetics and households, ceramics and more. Seems to open a liquor shop soon as well.

A very nice looking Asian supermarket. The staff are pretty friendly unlike some of the other Asian shops. I didn't know what to do with some of the products but I found their instructions pretty helpful to understand how they can be used. Also, it's very nice to see products that we don't see in other Asian shops. We will definitely come back again.

The shop has so many food varieties and good quality Japanese products. I have tried few stuff and love coming back . However not many know about this place. Very nice customer service too!

Best place I've found so far for Japanese groceries! Wide selection of products, good price, and nice staff. My only complaint is I wish they had more fresh vegetables
