D'Urville Hut
Cosy, relatively tidy Department of Conservation hut. Fairly old, but with adequate facilities including multiple bunks, mattresses, tank water, and heating. Situated in a fantastic spot right on the shore of Lake Rotoroa with a jetty allowing direct boat access.

Didn't stay here as sleeping on yacht, but called in. Very well appointed hut. Insect screens on the windows. Beautiful views.Such a wonderful setting. Highly recommend to trampers. Can be popular base for folk fishing and hunting.

Great hut very cold in winter. Boat access or a long walk in. Good hunting and fishing.
