Finally managed to secure a last minute booking - we generally don’t plan our outings so was hard to get in here but worth the hours drive from Pukekohe.Beef Tataki and Polenta were our fave dishes! The tataki was insanely good with perfect accompaniments. The polenta - I didn’t know it could be this good!We also had the duck which was yum. The crudo which was really good with yum flavourings but used snapper which I find very bland. Also got the calamari which was just okay.Service was awesome and attentive and the ambience was lovely.The menu seemed quite expensive even compared to Auckland prices but we got 5 dishes, a mocktail and sparkling water for $125 so we’re actually really happy with that and the standard of food matches the prices.

I recently visited this restaurant with my family and had a mixed experience.While I appreciated the allergy menu and good selection of gluten-free options, the pork belly dish was disappointing. The pork belly was too dry and lacked of crispness on the skin, I was hoping to have that crunchie sound when cutting up.On a positive note, the prawn and scallop tortellini was impressive and delicious.However, the food took a bit too long to arrive at the table, which was a bit frustrating. The portions were quite small due to the tapas style of dining, which made it hard to justify the high price.Overall, I would still recommend this restaurant for the good selection of gluten-free options.

We arrived at the restaurant quite late just after 2pm for lunch. The staff was very nice to accommodate us. The service was effortlessly friendly and efficient even though most diners were leaving and thinning out for a change over.Our first two dish were great especially the Prawns and Scallops Ravioli. The duck confit was a bit dry and the sauce wasn’t that interesting. The pull pork were all deep fried and crispy, I wish there some fresh pork bits for contrasting texture but no, so a bit dry too. There were still something to like about the dish. The wines and cheeses we’re wonderful.Love the spaciousness of the building. Definitely will come back to try their other dishes when we visit Hamilton again.

Had lunch at Gothernburg between our trip from Rotorua and Auckland. It was a pleasent surprise at the quality of the food. The most memorable dishes were Kang Pow chicken and deep fried cauliflower. Staff were very friendly too.

Fantastic tapas and very friendly and attentive wait staff. Tapas feel a tad expensive for quantity, but the freshness of the ingredients, flavour and presentation make up for it.The restaurant itself is nice, perhaps the large room can make it feel a little echoey and loud at times, but it added to the atmosphere and didn't bother me much.Highly recommend the set menu, had the 80pp and it provided a fantastic variety and I was definitely satisfied and full by the end. Potato gratin was probably my least favorite, quite salty. Everything else exquisite.

Best eats in Hamilton with great staff and food. Highly recommend for those who would like great food and a nice atmosphere. Great for group gatherings or date night.

In general we enjoyed the meal. Went for the chefs selection, but were confused when the dishes went in an Asian fusion direction instead of their traditional northern European. Bit of a let down as this wasn't executed as well as the rest of their menu.

Ordered 4 dishes and 1 dessert for 2 adults. Calamari was tender and very tasty. Gnocchi with veges also good. Pork belly with sauerkraut was not impressive. We didn't like it so much as it's fatty and had a strong smell. We also ordered fries that was very normal, nothing special, had too much salt on it to my taste. Dessert was banoffee and we really liked it. Good size of portion, not too sweet and looks beautiful. Had 2 coffee and paid around 110.Overall, food was ok as well as the service. We expected more due to google reviews and price tag.

10/10 for the service and atmosphere at the Gothenburg Restaurant. The food was delicious especially the crispy polenta chips and pork belly however the kimchi dumplings were a miss. The skin was hard and could not taste much of the kimchi flavour. Overall, highly recommend for a quick lunch! Would love to come back for the dinner menu and service

I totally understand everything goes up high these days in NZ, but $140 for 2 people, look at the overcooked broccoli, it looks very unpleasant.Two star is for all friendly staff members and they are very helpful and easy approach. But for the food, I would rate zero if I can
