Amazing! Our guide was very friendly and they had all kinds of equipment for us in case we forgot something or didn't have it. We slowly paddled on the lake at night staring at the many stars in the clear sky. Then we approached the caves and got to see the most amazing glow worms that looked like a whole other night sky. He even served us hot chocolate! Highly recommend it for any ages.

Fabulous!! The guide was excellent and knowledgeable about the area. The tour company was very accommodating, even though I was the only one registered they did not cancel the tour. I really appreciated that.I had a great time. My only recommendation to future paddlers is if you have time to add the hike down to the lake.

Our two guides were great…very fun and knowledgeable. The kayak glow worm tour is a great alternative for those that can’t get to Waitimo. We toured 4 small caves and, thanks to the remote location, had the best view of the stars that I’ve experienced in my lifetime.

The experience of seeing glowworms is always great. The young guides who were with us for the night kayak tour were amazing. Very interesting and super nice. But 300 dollars?! We spent a lot of time waiting to enter the caves (3 out of 4 caves you can only go one boat after another, which is okay when the pricing is right). Honestly if we had paid the right amount of money for this activity we wouldn't had been so disappointed. And again, the young tour guides were awesome so it really is the 300 dollars for 2 hours in a kayak that are hard to swallow.

My first time seeing glow worms, an experience I won't forget! Shuttle pick up and drop off was amazing for a traveler without a car. We kayaked at a leisurely pace, easy for beginners. Would recommend this tour to anyone in the area.

Absolutely amazing experience. Jess was lovely as a tour guide, and gave us a lot of insights into the local area. The glow worms themselves were so cool to see, and I liked looking at the redwoods on the ride to the lake. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing experience. Tom was a fabulous guide and really ensured had a great time while also being super informative about the glow worms and local area. Was the highlight of our trip, kayaking on the lake in the dark was a surreal experience and the caves were like entering another world. I would recommend this experience to anyone young or old as a must do when in Rotorua.
