Barrington Medical Centre

I enrolled here today and saw Dr Li Shawn. I have to say that every interaction with the practice before the visit (specifically contact with Jude) was exceptional, both friendly and professional. I found the doctor very friendly, helpful and understanding. Happy to recommend based on our experience.

Absolutely abysmal level of care for a family member with serious mental health and chronic pain issues, fobbed off by GP year after year with boxes of Panadol and Naproxen. I had to threaten with an official complaint before tests were ordered that should have been done years ago. I left the medical centre myself in disgust over the arrogant, incompetent and dismissive attitude of some GP's there. More than a few rotten apples in the barrel, maybe there are some good GP's as well, just haven't encountered them at Barrington Medical centre.

I really like Dr LI Shaun unfortunately I can't get to see her unless I take time off work had a phone appt with doctor Kiddle who told me older people don't need much sleep and to get up and read a book great it's 3 am for the 3 Rd night in a row and I work full time so I will be finding another practice

I've been a patient at Barrington Medical for 8 years, and in general I am very happy with their services and patient care. My own GP is always helpful, and never gives me the feeling I'm taking up too much of her precious time. If I can't see her and need to see one of the other GPs or a nurse, they are always lovely and helpful as well.

Please explain why you do not reduce patients fees when they hold a community services card? Very interested in your response to this. Apparently not all your Dr's reflect the high amount that you charge for a consultation.

I have been coming to this medical center for years and never in my time have I experienced such hassle just to get an appointment the doctor is ither away or fully booked extremely hard to get a hold of yous. Waiting for my appointments are always late but if we are late we have re book its really slack how this place is running now. Im very disappointed as health should be a priority. I have results i need to discuss but no way to get an appointment so left very unhappy.

Multiple times have waited 30 minutes for my appointment. Terrible service, rude receptionistRe reply from the medical centre: I have multiple times to express my concerns and receptionist were very rude and told me not their problem so I went on to tell my doctor and that went no where. Receptionist were still rude and no one was able to note my concerns or the fact my appointments constantly take over 30 minutes for a doctor while I’ve been in emergency myself

Took my partner here. Had headaches for over a week in same spot. Was sent home with anitbiotics, fobbed off basically, even though he didn't have temps or show signs of needing them. Next day he was dead from a Brain aneurysm. He's left behind a 18 month old and an unborn son he will never get to meet.

Reception ladies are always very helpful and polite. Positive experience every time. Dr Kiddle has been taken such a good care of me for years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Never have I felt rushed out even when the appointment takes only 5 minutes. Efficient and fast. Thanks team.

My family and I have been enrolled here for a considerable time, and at first the service and care was acceptable, but I feel compelled to speak out after my last visit.lets start with the reception:- generally cold and dismissive, bordering on arrogant with no sense ofurgency.- typically favour answering the phone while queues of people coming inand wanting to leave form.- never tell you how late your doctor is running.I have never had an appointment on time, usually 10-15 min late with my last visit being almost half an hour late. No warning from reception, and a perfunctory sorry about the wait from the doctor, sometimes. if you're lucky.The Doctors:Generally competent, but only seem interested in processing my appointment as quickly as possible. my last interaction with the Doctor lasted less than 4 minutes, for which I was charged the handsome sum of $52.Absolutely disgusted.Reply to Owner:of course there is no one registered by this name. I value my privacy.I have made many comments about the waiting times over the years and If that had no effect (and it didn't) I don't expect any now. I'm not interested in discussing anything, Instead I'll find an alternate provider who treats patients as human beings and not cash cows to be milked!
