Close to central Auckland, but a beautiful reserve with good picnic benches overlooking the inlet. You can sit on the grass and watch wind-surfers, walk your dog, fish or (when the tide is low) walk to the next little beach.And if you have kids, there is a great playground (and nearby toilet) on the way down to the water.These little beaches make you really appreciate Auckland

The play are were closed. the car park near the water was the only place to hang out.Kids were disappointed.

I stood on a shell resulting in a tiny cut on my toe, 3wks later toe was amputated.. don't go without shoes it's polluted to hell
