A beutiful, quiet sirene park to hang, chill excercise and provides loads of options for short or long walks amongst virgin native forest, tenting areas, picnic tables and open park spaces to stretch out a bit!

Great forest for a hike. Public parkings available, although the fence for the closer one closes at a certain time.

Nicely kept reserve with tracks, picnic areas and swimming holes. A great place to get away from the bustling city. A good area to walk the dog on a lead and get the children away from their electronic devices. Lots of surprises to keep up the interest as you follow the tracks.

A delightful quiet nature reserve with some lovely walking trails. Others were taking advantage of the swimming holes, but we didn't have our togs

Wonderful trekking with a beautiful view of the LowerHutt dam which is one of the oldest in NZ built in 1800. Gum loop track is highly recommended for the intermediate trekkers. There are some swimming holes too.. well maintained except for a little distance where there are fallen trees and there are sign boards to guide on same and you can also see they have removed few. On the whole wonderful one day trek experience.
