Pīwaka Early Learning Centre

Very happy with my experience with Piwaka my first child attended for 4.5 years and left a very confident and capable little boy ready for school. I had no doubts when I had my second child and it was time for me to return to work that Piwaka was the right place for him. The teachers helped to settle my little man with warm cuddles and respecting his routine that we had developed at home. He is now happy to be dropped off each morning and I am comfortable to leave him. Highly reccomend.

We love Piwaka! We've had kids at Piwaka for the last 8 years and love the centre, their approach and most of all the wonderful teachers! It was sad to say goodbye to our Piwaka whanau, but school beckons. And with Piwaka both of our kids were well prepared for the jump to primary school. Ka Pai!

I strongly recommend Piwaka to those looking for an all encompassing childcare for their children. My son has been beautifully looked after by caring, supportive and knowledgeable carers and teachers throughout his four years there. It is clear that it is excellently managed and this feeds throughout the centre, staff turnover is minimal and the relationships we have built have been valued and long lasting. Highlights for me were; being very happy with each and every teacher we encountered, the healthy food served each day, the school readiness program which tooled up my son well in preparation, trips to Kiwi Valley/the Observatory/parks etc, Playball and the interesting and challenging activities that my son enjoyed and thrived within each day. A huge thank you to Grant, Rachel and the Piwaka Team, it has been an absolute pleasure :-D

My son started at Pīwaka at 9 months old and I am so glad I chose this daycare.He loved going everyday and the teachers in the Huia room were so attached to him and form such lovely relationships with the children.We have since moved overseas and will struggle to find a daycare as good as Piwaka.

Problems in food safety and ignorant teachers in food safety and hygiene. Expired milk served to children on regular basis so as not to go wasted. Children always hungry with extra food requests denied by teachers, they really do enforce portion control, good if your child is obese he may slim down a little there. Only a handful of awesome teachers, the rest are rotten to the core. This review is for the 5yo room.

Both of my children went through this centre and I can honestly say how comfortable I was returning to work knowing they were safe, loved and cared for. This centre has the most incredible teachers and management team and a genuine love for children. Wonderful!

Amazing place. We have been lucky enough to have been part of the Piwaka family for 7 years and really love the kind and caring team there. Always great resources, excellent food and ever changing fun equipment and activities for the children to learn from. A great place for kids to be kids.

Very happy with our experience at this centre. Both my kids went here, the youngest for 4 years. The teachers are really kind and professional. They know the curriculum and design awesome learning experiences, my girl loved the water play and art projects. She loved her teachers, I would recommend this centre

My daughter suffered from seperation anxiety but the team at Piwaka really helped me transition my little one into preschool. The teachers were loving and supportive, and I am happy to say that my lil one is now more confident and independant. I loved their idea and concept of the school readiness programme,this really helped my lil one be ready for school. We will miss the team at Piwaka and we will surely drop by for a visit. Highly recommended.PS: Wish you had a Primary School.
